The warm and welcoming atmosphere you’ll find on campus is one of the things that truly sets us apart.

Christ Church is a warm and friendly community. Wherever I was on campus, I always felt welcome. My tutors had an open door policy, allowing anyone to pop in for a chat whenever they weren’t busy studying.

We want you to succeed, to be happy, to feel comfortable and to express yourself.

You’ll be studying in a nurturing and sympathetic environment where diversity, equality and individuality are part of everything we do. We’re proud to have students from across the UK and the world studying at Christ Church, exchanging ideas, values and experiences.

Your fellow students will come from all backgrounds, all ages, all faiths or no faith at all. We have a Canterbury-based Chapel, a Muslim Prayer Room, a Buddhist Meditation Room, and quiet rooms on all campuses, supported and supervised by the University Chaplaincy Team.

More than 50% of our full-time undergraduates are mature students, so if you’ve delayed your studies for a few years, or are returning to university after a longer break, you’ll be in good company.

We look at each application individually, so if you have some experience but don’t think you have the necessary qualifications to study for a degree, come and talk to us – we’re always happy to answer your questions.

You can take most of our degree courses part-time, giving you the flexibility to combine your current career with academic study.
