Strategic Plan Update

In 2014, the Canton Regional Chamber of Commerce celebrates our 100th anniversary of advancing economic growth and community development in Canton/Stark County. This milestone has given our organization the perfect opportunity to assess where we’ve been, where we’re going, and how we can better serve our members and the region in years to come. In January, several months of hard work and planning came to fruition when our board of directors approved a comprehensive, forward-looking strategic plan, (continued on page ten)

SPECIAL FOR 2014: Southwest Airlines is providing a $100 travel voucher for EACH of the first 900 guests to register, and Jülz by Alan Rodriguez is donating a custom-designed diamond piece to be given away at the event. The Canton Regional Chamber’s 100th Anniversary Annual Dinner Gala will be held on Friday, Feb. 28, at the Canton Memorial Civic Center, located at 1101 Market Ave. N in downtown Canton.

In recognition of the Chamber’s 100th anniversary, for this year only, the Annual Dinner will be a black-tie optional gala, including a full evening of cocktails, dinner, dancing and live entertainment. Other special surprises throughout the evening are also planned. At the Gala, the gavel will be passed from outgoing Board Chairman Karen Brenneman, managing partner at Hall, Kistler & Company, to the 2014 Board Chairman, Philip Fracassa, senior vice president – corporate planning and development for The Timken Company. The Chamber will recognize and thank the outgoing board members and usher in new members for our historic 100th year. Former Board Chairman Rick Haines, president and CEO of AultCare, will emcee the event. (continued on page four)
