THANKS TO OUR PARTNERS:

DID YOU KNOW. . .

The professional staffs of the Canton Regional Chamber of Commerce and Pro Football Hall of Fame partner with a team of 4,200 extraordinary community volunteers to plan and stage the annual festivities.

More than 23,000 men have played professional football, and thousands of others have coached or been involved in the game in other capacities, but only 287 have been enshrined into the Pro Football Hall of Fame, including the Class of 2014. The annual Enshrinement Festival produces a $32 million economic impact on the Canton/Stark County area and $56 million on the state of Ohio. Early this year, Steve Perry retired after nearly eight years as President/ Executive Director of the Pro Football Hall of Fame, and was succeeded by David Baker, a business leader, former Mayor of Irvine, California, and

former Commissioner of the Arena Football League.

CLASS OF 2014 TIDBITS. . . Derrick Brooks believes if you toot your own horn, you’ll run out of breath. Ray Guy is the first full-time punter to be elected. Claude Humphrey was eligible for 28 years before being elected. Walter Jones was the first Seattle Seahawks lineman to play in the Pro Bowl. Andre Reed stresses the importance of what you do off the field. Michael Strahan grew up in Germany and played only one year of high school football. Aeneas Williams, an ordained minister, was a walk-on at Southern University.
