98th Annual Dinner sets records for the Canton Regional Chamber Tim Timken At the Canton Regional Chamber’s 98th Annual Dinner, held Wednesday, Feb. 8, Timken Chairman Tim Timken and CEO Jim Griffith took the stage to a record crowd. More than 825 guests eagerly awaited an unprecedented presentation by the company’s top leadership. Together, Griffith and Timken presented their story of a company reinvented, with a new business model and fresh capabilities to capitalize on emerging markets and growing industries around the world – but one still very much grounded in this community.

Q: What were Timken’s full-year 2011 sales? A: Record sales of $5.2 billion

Griffith’s presentation utilized an audience response system to poll the audience on some key facts about Timken, and the answers were often surprising:

Q: How much of Timken’s steel is made from recycled material? A: 100%, the company recycles 1.6 million scraps of ton per year for custom alloy steels (continued on next page)
