DESIGN SELECTED FOR NEW HONOR ROLL IN WHITE HAVEN: Representatives of each branch of the service and local veterans groups have been working with White Haven Borough to come up with a suitable replacement for the old honor roll at the junction of Wilkes-Barre and Buffalo Streets. That structure was falling apart, and repairs were no longer feasible. Various fundraising efforts were put together to replace it with a dignified memorial. On Monday night, the new design was selected during a meeting at VFW Post 6615. To read about the details, see Veterans Corner on page 5.
