A Festive Fourth at Penn Lake Park Borough

On July 2, the Penn Lake Association sponsored a patriotic bike parade for the children. Participants decorated their bicycles (also scooters, strollers, toy cars) with their best red, white, and blue, and rolled down Lakeview Drive, accompanied by patriotic music. The parade ended at the Community House with refreshments for the children, and prizes for the top 3 decorated vehicles. At dusk the same day, Penn Lake residents were treated to a spectacular 40 minute fireworks display, presented by the Roman family, who have been doing this for around 20 years.
