A Tale of Two Parking Lots…

PAVING was proceeding full-force last week in Weatherly, as workers completed sidewalks and asphalt for the parking lot near the Weatherly Area Musueum. Despite the heat, a full crew finished up by laying stone as a bed for the borough’s donated coal car, now displayed at the center of the site. The parking lot is meant for the trailhead to the connector trail to the D&L Heritage Corridor. Bids for that project, however, came in higher than expected are are being re-advertised. IN WHITE HAVEN, the D&L Trail’s lot at the north end of Main Street is just about ready for paving. Last week, workers completed landscaping the area, planting trees and ornamental grasses. As shown here, there is still work to be done farther up the trail.
