BAGS, BOXES & BINS: The Scouts from Pack and Troop 25 would like to thank the residents of the White Haven area who helped with the Scouting For Food drive. The Scouts had distributed bags and hangers on the weekend of November 6-7, then returned to collect the donated food items on November 13. Scouts worked at VFW Post 6615 that day to separate, date, count and sort the items collected. On Friday the items were boxed, thanks to the local Wine & Spirit Store, and then delivered to the White Haven Food Pantry. Almost 1,500 pounds of canned and non-perishable food was delivered for them to distribute to those in need of food. Scouting For Food is an annual project of the Scouts BSA where millions of food items are collected and distributed to those in need. This is the BSA largest community service project and has been running since 1985.
