Kidder Supers to send changes on commercial properties to Planning by Seth Isenberg Kidder Township is being asked to change zoning on a 300 acre parcel along Route 940 which abuts Interstate 80, from the current R2 (residential) to Commercial. The parcel, owned by Blue Ridge Real Estate, is west of Moseywood Road, and extends to the new Exeter Group warehouse property. Kidder Supervisors, at their March meeting, sent the proposal to the township and county Planning Commissions. The proposal will reappear before supervisors after those groups review it. Regarding the Exeter warehouse, the building is projected to be complete in early July. Engineer Chris McDermott spoke to supervisors on accommodating a request by a likely

tenant for more parking spaces, adding 255 to the current 280 to have enough spaces for shift changes. The idea McDermott presented was to convert a corner of pavement and concrete pad on the northwest corner of what would have been trailer parking. He said there is ample space there for the new spots. He too was referred to the Planning Commission for their meeting on April 6, sent along with a request for more landscaping along Route 940. In other business, supervisors approved the hiring of Patsy DeMarco as an additional township clerk in the township office; approved a contract with Button Oil for gasoline delivery for the police department tank while advertising for proposals from companies to provide gasoline, See KIDDER, page 3
