The Monroe County Garden Club will present its popular Garden Tour of local beautiful gardens on Saturday, June 24, from 10-4.

Tickets may be purchased in advance at Stonewall Garden Center, Route 447 Canadensis; Ross & Ross Nursery, 5801 Paradise Valley Road, Cresco; and The Potting Shed, 931 Ann St., Stroudsburg.

Tickets may be purchased the day of the tour at Bryant Park, Stroudsburg. Tickets cost $5 for Club members, $10 for the general public. You will receive your list of gardens and addresses at Bryant Street Park, Stroudsburg. For more information, please contact Ellen Phraner, 570-352-2472 or ellen.

Rummage sale set in Thornhurst

A rummage sale will be held at Thornhurst Methodist Church, located at 342 Old River Road in Thornhurst on June 23 and 24 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Food and baked goods will be available for sale.

The Monroe Coumty Garden Club is a member of District II/III of the

Garden Club Federation of Pennsylvania, and the profits will be used to fund scholarships for high school students who wish to pursue continuing education in the field of gardening and conservation.

Sat., June 17— Reptiles Hickory Run State Park Amphitheater, 7 p.m., 1.5 hr. Join the Carbon County Environmental Education Center staff to take a close look at reptiles of Pennsylvania. This program will include live animals. In the event of rain, this program will be held at the Visitor Center porch or classroom.

Sat., July 1 —Birds Of Prey Hickory Run State Park

Amphitheater, 9 a.m., 1.5 hr. Join the Carbon County
