Capital Vacations encourages Club Members to set aside time for family and friends and travel this summer. Whether this includes relaxing on a sandy beach (after enduring the wintry weather), exploring a new region, embarking on an adventure-filled trip, or revisiting family favorites, the options for a memorable summer vacation are endless. Club Members also create new traditions as they explore the latest destinations, go on new adventures, and invite friends & family along.

Capital Vacations asked employees to recommend family-friendly activities for Club Members to check out this summer. Below are their Top 3 Picks in Branson, MO; Myrtle Beach, SC; and Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.

OZARK MOUNTAINS - Branson, Missouri

Branson may have become famous for its live entertainment but there’s so much more to do than see a show. Located in the heart of the Ozark Mountains, Branson is the ideal location for everyone in the family and offers a plethora of “only in the Ozark” activities. Capital Vacations’ employees recommend Club Members visit these hidden gems in Branson.

Spend the day (or two) on the lake. Branson has three lakes (Bull Shoals Lake, Table Rock Lake, and Lake Taneycomo) spanning more than 800+ miles. Club Members can rent kayaks, charter a boat or bask in the sun on a beach. Fishing enthusiasts will find bass, crappie, catfish, and bluegill (Note: a fishing license is required.). Scuba diving lessons are available at Table Rock State Park. Or spend the afternoon zooming around Lake Taneycomo on a jet ski from Branson Jet Boats.

Hop aboard the Branson Scenic Railway to explore Branson from a different point of view. The vintage passenger train departs from the 1905 depot and takes guests through the foothills of the Ozarks. The Promised Land Zoo promises a unique experience for families. Hailed as one of America’s Top 25 zoos, Promised Land Zoo allows visitors to get “up close and personal” with the 500 furry residents who roam across the 75-acre zoo. There are three levels of admission: basic, VIP and Ultimate. Depending on admission level, visitors can feed the kangaroos or enjoy a half-day safari like excursion. GRAND STRAND- Myrtle Beach, South Carolina

Stretching along 60-miles of the South Carolina coastline, the Grand Strand is the perfect answer to families seeking the ideal combination of relaxing beach time and entertainment with live shows, amusement rides, and more. Myrtle Beach is an excellent vacation destination with its sunny skies, wide beaches, and family-friendly options.

Beyond the beach, Myrtle Beach has tons to offer with centrally located tourist attractions, “off the beaten” path adventures and more than 50 miniature golf courses.
