Love, Loss, and Remembrance
Margaret C
Dedicated to Great Grandma Mary You were a great woman and an inspiration to us all. You have a special place in my heart.
(Great Grandma Mary on her 112th birthday)
When she was gone When she was gone, It hit me like a bullet Strong and forceful Hard and hurtful The pain grew, But I knew I had to let go
Losing Him He was as soft as a cloud He looked as he had been kissed by the sun. He was daring and brave Smart and wise One day, One day I could no longer feel a cloud Nor could I see the sun. I couldn’t find myself to be daring or brave Smart or wise. That day I lost a part of me That day I lost him
Death Is death silent? Still and stagnant Waiting for the right day to come Or Is death alarming? Astonishing and amazing Beeping like an alarm clock when it’s time to go Or Is death peaceful? Pacifistic and placid Slowly approaching I think Death is Natural Common and constant Calmly coming
