RENTAL REVIEW RENTAL STOCK DROPS 25% The latest figures from REIWA confirm that rental stock in Perth has dropped substantially compared to last year, confirming what our leasing and property management team has suspected for some time: Perth´s rental market is rebounding. There are currently just over 6,700 rental properties available across Perth. This may sound like a huge number, but the positive news for investors is, this is 25% fewer properties than what was on the rental market last year. These recent changes in market forces have come about following a shift in supply and demand. A strengthening economy together with improving employment conditions has prompted an

increase, which has absorbed much of the supply in both rental accommodation and owner occupied homes. As a result, the vacancy rate across Perth is also dropping, and we are starting to see some small rent increases in some suburbs. This change has been very noticeable from our perspective as this quarter, we have leased more than 110 properties. We are receiving around 1700 enquires a month - which is, on average, double the amount of enquiries we were receiving this time last year.
