HAVE WE TURNED THE CORNER? At the time of writing this article, the team at Caporn Young had sold 31 properties in the last 24 days, including some very significant sales that represent the culmination of many weeks and months of effort and hard work. I am incredibly proud of our experienced sales negotiators, however I am also wondering if the market has indeed bounced off the bottom in terms of transactions... are we finally heading in a more positive direction for the foreseeable future? The numbers certainly seem to suggest as much, if our transactions and sales figures over the last six months are anything to go by. Activity breeds activity, and with the market beginning to gain some traction in recent months, we are definitely seeing a sustained uptick in buyer activity. RENTAL REVIEW PERTH RENTAL MARKET MAKING HEADLINES From a landlord´s perspective, Perth’s rental market is making headlines for all the right reasons at the moment, with conditions continuing to stabilise. For the second quarter in a row, Perth´s vacancy rate has trended lower, falling to just 2.5%. Furthermore, 172 suburbs recorded an increase in leasing activity and 110 suburbs recorded an increase in median weekly rent.
