There´s a saying in property circles that ´the numbers don´t lie´. Real estate is an industry where a lot of passion and emotion is involved, which can cloud our decisionmaking abilities. When these situations arise, the truth is, the numbers don´t lie. They ground us back to the reality of the situation. As for Caporn Young, the reality of the last 12 months has been quite remarkable. The last financial year has been a very bumpy ride, however we have still delivered great results for our clients across the city. We listed 253 properties for sale and sold a total 198 properties, helping 396 families with their move. The total value of homes sold equates to in excess of $200 million worth of real estate. On the rental side, we have leased almost as many properties as we´ve sold, housing an
additional 367 tenants in their new homes. This is where our leasing and property management team truly shine and demonstrate their reputation as being industry-leading, as their achievements on behalf of their landlords are truly second to none. The latest vacancy rate achieved by our team is just 0.75% (lower than the citywide 2.5%) and our days on market is also far lower than the industry at just 22.
