Often a trip to the cinema is a great way to escape everyday life for a couple of hours, and at only £2.90 (August 2019) who could say no? The film will be chosen via a poll on our Facebook event group nearer the time. We will most likely meet outside the Students’ Union on Senghennydd Road (Santander and Co-op side) before walking around 10-15 minutes to Cineworld together. Monday 30th September, 18:00

Our guided bus tour offers the perfect introduction to Cardiff. Cruise by all the major Cardiff landmarks in this hour long bus tour to Cardiff Bay and back, all in a vintage Red London Bus. DAY TIME EVENTS CASTLE COCH DAY Trip Venue: Departs from the Students’ Union at the Senghennydd Road entrance / £6
Come with us on our big red London bus to visit this beautiful Victorian castle on the outskirts of Cardiff. We will be dropping you off and picking you up from the castle itself so feel free to explore the castle or take a walk through the nearby woodland. There are a number of facilities at the castle including a tea room, a free audio guide and information exhibitions. Tickets are available online and at the Students’ Union Box Office. Pay entry on the door! To access student prices, bring your student card, or proof of being a student. This means you will qualify for a £6.50 ‘Castle Key’ which gives you admission for three years. Otherwise standard admission prices are: Adults £13.50, Students £11.50, Children (5-16) £9.50.
Spend a day away from city life and visit one of South Wales’ most famous beaches. Barry Island is a fantastic seaside trip where you can enjoy the sea, ice cream and chips. The Island is known to most as the setting of the hit TV show Gavin and Stacey.
