CARE Prayer Diary

Making a Christian difference through prayer

‘For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven and do not return there but water the earth, making it bring forth and sprout, giving seed to the sower and bread to the eater, so shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it. “For you shall go out in joy and be led forth in peace; the mountains and the hills before you shall break forth into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.”’ ISAIAH 55:10-12 (ESV)

PRECIOUS HUMAN LIVES ‘For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope ... And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.’ JEREMIAH 29: 11, 13 (NEW KING JAMES VERSION)

SUN

Loving Saviour, we praise You for the dignity and value You have given to human beings, each man, woman and child uniquely known and precious in Your sight. Help us to speak and act to defend the most vulnerable, especially those most at risk of abuse or death. Amen.

SAT

Ask God to strengthen individuals who endure pain and uncertainty about the future because of their life-threatening conditions. Pray for God to pour His peace into their hearts and reveal to them the living hope we have in Christ Jesus.

28

The UK pioneered the establishment and development of palliative and hospice care. Over 200 hospices are helping a quarter of a million people every year as inpatients, through hospital support services, or home-based care. (www.helpthehospices.org.uk)
