STRATEGY TARGET: General Public. MARKETING POSITION: Gripping, suspenseful and a story crafted with intelligence and an eye for detail. Drama, action, adventure and love are a constant throughout. TOPICS: From Paris and Metz in Spain to the Amazonian forest in the universe of the Colombian guerrilla, this drama takes us into the problem of fragmented families, the lack of communication between people, the secret, betrayal and love. Our ambition is to provoke strong emotions, immerse the viewer in a world which knew almost nothing before, but also give clues to ponder and question. STRENGTHS: The originality of the issues being framed and portrayed are based on a powerful narrative of parallels tales belonging to different genres, with a sustained and coherent intrigue. The characters evolve taking risks. In the forest, Laura and Teo are reunited in this dangerous and uncertain world, where members of the guerrilla live in a primitive way, in an alluring and wild nature. While in Paris, Victoire, Laura’s daughter is a teenager who dares venture into the nocturnal world which is unknown for her. The hackers Barbara in Metz, France and Juan Manuel, Teo’s brother, in the ColombianVenezuelan border are at the service of the guerrilla. They spend their lives connected in cyberspace, experiencing an almost virtual love that reflects the spirit of this overwhelming technological time. These characters caught in a “spiral” forms one fragmented family.
DISTRIBUTION: For the French and Latino-American dimension of the script, the film will be naturally addressed to the audiences of France, Spain, Latin American and the Hispanic circuits of the United States. Nevertheless, due to the universality of emotional topics we believe in the possibilities of international distribution. LAUNCH STRATEGY: For its originality and contents (casting, artistic crew, director and producers) we aspire, reasonably, participation and presentation of the film in international film festivals. This would lead to commercialization in international markets for theatrical, free and pay TV, DVD, VOD, BD, etc. The distribution would be in charge of an international seller. Just Films has an important network with the Spanish distributors, who have marketed their products. As far from TarannĂ Films we can reach the Arts Film Festivals. And MC2 Productions has relations with the LatinAmerican markets. SALE FORCE FOR INTERNATIONAL MARKETS: The original treatment of the story and the universality of the topics covered. The psychological nature of the work does not deprive the film of its other dimensions: action and adventure. It is breathless! This combination tends to seduce a potential public of the international market. The exotic scenery in the jungle, the modernism of the hacker world and the urbanism where the film takes place could arouse great interest in the international public.
FILMS REFERENCES FOR THE DIRECTOR: “Babel” (2006) by Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu (2006), “Traffic” (2000) by Steven Soderbergh (2000) where the accumulation of multiple stories, as a whole, can narrate a tentacular situation. The history of each one of these films is based on a strong narrative and belongs (almost) to a different genre. But its structure can offer a meticulous definition of a global situation. Werner Herzog’s films “Fitzcarraldo” (1982) and “Aguirre, the Wrath of God” (1972) show us the incredible fates of men in the world of the jungle. “Dark Zero Thirty” by Kathryn Bigelow who places a very strong female character struggling for an aim.
