Carlos Ruiz
Carlos Gabriel Ruiz is an Addy Award winning writer, producer and illustrator. As an illustrator his work has appeared in DC Comics' imprint, Zuda Comics, and his illustrations have graced the covers of the magazines Two Drink Minimum and Vox. His work appears monthly in Playback:STL, where he writes and draws the comics "Pretentious Record Store Guy" and "Parade of Freaks". Previously he was a staff illustrator at the now defunct Two Drink Minimum comedy magazine, where he also wrote and drew the comic strip “The Joel Sinclair Show” and he was the illustrator for Bosco’s "Elliott Goes" comic strip which also ran in Playback:STL. He has written and produced several animated and live action commercials for Slackers CDs & Games and Charter Television. He won an Addy Award for writing, producing, storyboarding and illustrating the animated commerical "Major Boredom" for Slackers CDs & Games.
