NEW TECHNOLOGY FOR A NEW FUTURE

Our first launch Robosub competition is around the corner and we publish our first English newsletter in order to keep you informed.

About us FuVe-E is an association which main goal is improving the knowledge of the university.

Its main objective is promoting, supporting and taking part in all the activities or competitions the students suggest: research, design and execution of prototypes.

Our team is composed of students from different subjects of study. We want to perform and learn in a different way. We invite everybody who

Robosub competition

Airbus Innovation Cell's "Innovation Symposium"

Sponsored by the AUVSI (Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems International) and the ONR (U.S. Office of Naval Research), the goal of this competition is to advance the development of Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUVs) by challenging a new generation of engineers to perform realistic missions in an underwater environment.

This event also serves to foster ties between young engineers and the organizations developing AUV technologies.

UNVEX'12 FuVe-E took part in UNVEX'12 tradeshow which took place between the 23rd and 26th of April in Madrid.

Known as the Spanish Summit of Unmanned Systems, UNVEX put together the most important representatives of the sector. There were air (UAV), earth (UGV) and marine (USV) systems.

This way, we could expose our work, the autonomous submarine "Isaac Peral and Caballero" in the UPM's stand (Universidad PolitĂŠcnica de Madrid).

Furthermore, we could give a lecture to present our project.

We introduced ourselves in the unmanned vehicles sector and learnt a lot. We consider it a very positive experience.

Besides, this year there was an specific area for university projects. _______________________________________________________________________________________

Airbus Innovation Symposium Last 20th of April our association took part in Airbus Innovation Cell's "Innovation Symposium" in Toulouse, France.

This event (the first one abroad for us) gave us the opportunity to meet the Airbus representatives and teachers and students of several European Universities. They could present their innovative projects, exchange ideas and learn ones of the others.

This way, besides showing our work and ideas to students and teachers of other countries, we could see the projects they are

developing nowadays: aerial technology, improving the performance of hospitals, 3D vision...

This event has been a milestone in FuVe-E's history.

UDT 2012 FuVe-E was in Undersea Defence Technology Global Tradeshow which took place between the 23rd and 31st of May in Alicante.

for us to participate in an event as important as this.

Alicante hosted in May the most important European event of undersea defence technology: UDT. The most important trades of the sector, both national and international, took part in this lecture and exhibition.

Our association attended to this tradeshow where we could present our project and give a lecture.

We met some AUVSI members (organizers of the Robosub competition), who gave us very good feelings about the competition. We hope to be with them again this summer in San Diego.

We would like to highlight the article in the magazine "Muy Interesante" and our appearance on the radios RNE, Cadena Ser and Onda Madrid and at the television: Campus Party Television.

Besides, we have been supported by "Universidad Politécnica de Madrid" and "ETSI Navales" in their newscasts.

"Muy Interesante" Awards Last 26th of June association received innovation award.

"Muy Interesante" is a monthly Spanish magazine. Its title means "very interesting" and it includes great stories on scientific developments, innovation news and medical breakthroughs.

This year, in its 4th edition, some important brands were chosen as the most innovatives: Citro毛n, Nokia, Samsung, Gamesa, Kinect, and Danone.

Two doctors won the special awards: Pedro Alonso and Pedro Cavadas.

Our robot, "Isaac Peral y Caballero" was selected as the best university project

This magazine created the "Muy Innovaci贸n" awards to support the national I+D+I.
