Dear Customer, July 2024
Greetings from Terra Ceia. I hope this letter finds you safe, in good health and ready to get in the garden. This is the first time I have ever penned this letter midyear and after our Spring shipping season has already concluded. Since most of our business is now conducted via the internet, we made the strategic decision in 2023 to forgo the printed catalog and move to a digital-only format. While this was a cost-cutting move, the format change has also had the unfortunate effect of providing me with an even greater opportunity for procrastination - and here we are!
The family is growing. My wife and I became grandparents last July and we just celebrated little Nelsan's first birthday last week. He is absolutely precious and fully enjoys all the benefits of being the first great-grandchild in our family. I don’t know if he will ever walk since there seems to always be a line of family members waiting to pick him up.
Mom is now 84, doing great, and continuing to defy her age. While she still takes care of her flower garden and makes weekly flower arrangements for church, she has finally decided that driving should probably be left to her children and many grandchildren (mostly). It is a blessing that they are there to help her.

Because Amaryllis thrive at an air temperature of 68 to 70 degrees with a soil temperature of 75 degrees, bottom heat is essential to getting your bulbs off to an early start. Heating pads enable you to leave the thermostat at a comfortable temperature while providing sufficient heat in the root zone.
