Participants will learn about calm breathing, practice individual and partner poses, understand the importance of quiet time and develop tools for relaxation and anxiety reduction. TAI CHI PRACTICE GROUP Practice Tai Chi movements with us every week! Practicing correct and safe movements over time with consistency are the keys to obtaining the full mind-body benefits of Tai Chi. SEATED TAI CHI NEW! Seated Tai Chi combines gentle, slow movements with abdominal breathing and mental concentration to improve general health and well-being. Seated Tai Chi has been shown to improve upper body strength, flexibility/range of motion and reduce stress, pain and stiffness. Seated Tai Chi is appropriate for those who cannot stand, have lower body weakness, or who do not feel confident in their balance. Participants must be able to sit for 45 minutes. No class on 5/26.
