TAI CHI FOR HEALTH I A certified Tai Chi and Qi Gong instructor will lead you through gentle, focused movements designed to strengthen your body, relax your mind and improve your overall health. Harvard Medical School and Mayo Clinic research shows that Tai Chi positively impacts balance, coordination, stress, chronic pain, immune system and overall health. There is no floor or mat work. SEATED TAI CHI NEW! Seated Tai Chi combines gentle, slow movements with abdominal breathing and mental concentration to improve general health and well-being. Seated Tai Chi has been shown to improve upper body strength, flexibility/range of motion and reduce stress, pain and stiffness. Seated Tai Chi is appropriate for those who cannot stand, have lower body weakness, or who do not feel confident in their balance. Participants must be able to sit for 45 minutes. No class on 5/26.

TAI CHI PRACTICE GROUP Practice Tai Chi movements with us every week! Practicing correct and safe movements over time with consistency are the keys to obtaining the full mind-body benefits of Tai Chi. Each class includes relaxed breathing, warm-ups and stretching, a variety of Tai Chi forms (Sun and Yang styles) and various Qi Gong postures. Participants should wear loosefitting clothing and stable flat-soled shoes. Participants must have previously completed Tai Chi for Health I and II. No class on 5/25 through 5/27.
