Chi ha paura...? produces jewellery drawn by international designers. This foundation was established in 1996 by designer and co-founder of Droog Design Gijs Bakker (NL) and gallery owner Marijke Vallanzasca (IT). In April 2013, the latest collection called “Global Identity was exposed at the Salone del Mobile in Milan. From January to the last day of the fair, I was working on this amazing project. First step was to make some conceptual research for the exhibition. As soon as an idea has been chosen and developed, the aim was to communicate easily with the factory thanks to plans and technical drawings.
In the same time, the fifteen projects of the fifteen designers were in production, and some of them needed help to make documents to communicate with the goldsmith (technical drawings and 3d files).
Once the jewllery produced, I was responsible for the shooting photo, that means to direct the photographer and to make the photo retouching.
Two different sorts of communication supports has been used for the exhibition : paper and video. The aim was that visitors directly understand the collection and the different projects.
Once in Milan, the principal task was to build the exhibition. Then we just enjoyed welcoming the visitors, meeting the designers and explaining the project. And finally, we had to pack the entire exhibition and to send it to the Stedelijk museum of ‘s-Hertogenbosch where it will be re-built next year.
