Manon van Kouswijk (AU/NL) World Roaming brooch, porcelain, 48 x 45 x 15 mm
Paolo Ulian (IT) Global Bracelet bracelet, lasercut stainless steel, 118 x 60 mm
World Roaming combines a traditional romantic jewellery symbol with an antenna. The heart shaped brooch is made in red glazed porcelain. It is a symbol for today’s globetrotters who follow their heart as they travel the world and try to interact with other cultures.
The design of this bracelet, cut in two parts, stretched and welded together, symbolises the globe. The laser cut lines refer to the equator, poles, and other geographical lines that are used for navigation and communication. As such they also represent our expanding global networks.

Natasja Boezem (NL) Voice of Blue locket, silver, gold plated 68 x 52 x 29 mm
Studio Homunculus (KR) Clasped ID object, stainless steel, 105 x 121 x 1 mm
Voice of Blue is a contemporary interpretation of the locket as a holder and evoker of memories, which produces a personal sound when it is opened. Each owner can record his own sound (for example a voice whispering or laughter) and personalise this piece of jewellery, which can easily be taken wherever the wearer travels.
A passport is a tool. With a passport in our pocket, borders become permeable. This click-lock mechanism watches over your personal information and celebrates each act of travel with a single snap.

The bracelet symbolises the identity of our time. Diamond and plastic are a material that represent on the one hand man’s power and on the other hand man’s activity as a manufacturer and consumer. Both materials endure time and remain on this planet long after we have gone.
Noon Passama (TH) ID Tag pendant, brass, platinum plated, 85 x 54 x 6 mm
14
The ID Tag pendant plays with our knowledge about a tool for identifying workers all over the world through the codes on the card. In general these are not readable by people but are scanned by machines. These codes refer to an anonymous person, yet the last series of numbers identify the place of the pendant in a range from 1 up to 100.

In the age of ID controls, iris scans, security scans and body scans can your statement be simpler than just telling ‘I AM’? The message can be stretched even to become more prominent.

Non-degradable plastics are poisoning our oceans, wildlife and our own health. Straws are among the most polluting items; they are generally only used once for about 10 minutes while existing much longer than a lifetime. The ‘Plastic Soup’ bracelets direct our attention to this environmental issue.
