News From The Crew

S

even years in business and into our sixth year in print, seems like yesterday we were putting out the first issue. Nothing happens around here without the Chrome Crew, so any success we’ve enjoyed is due to great people on our team. Carolina Chrome is the ONLY South Carolina magazine dedicated to our state and its riders. It will always be FREE thanks to the local SC businesses. Please support these folks and thank them when you pick up your copy each month. Chrome will forever feature LOCAL SC BIKERS on our cover and its not for sale. How do we choose...its easy; if you ride a motorcycle in SC, any motorcycle because to us its all the same wind...then you can be on the cover of CHROME! Same for the centerfolds, we feature real men and women on bikes they own and ride. Our recycle program...on the rare occasion we have any issues left over we ship them directly to the deployed troops from South Carolina. THANK YOU our readers for your continued support, if there is something you would like to see printed, contact us. This is YOUR magazine! s always, take a moment to remember our brothers and sisters in the military. Freedom isn’t free. Ride On....

Carolina Chrome Magazine™ (CCM) is a FREE publication printed monthly, Distributed in South Carolina & Border Towns to Biker Friendly Businesses & Watering Holes.

Jesus came into the world so that we might have life, an abudant life that is filled with love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and selfcontrol. A life of forgiveness for ourselves, and others, by the precious blood that was spilled out on the ground. A life of the salvation promise by His ressurection. Each one of was bought at a very precious price and I hope and pray this is the life you desire. The choice is yours, and yours alone. I pray you choose life. I also pray you all have a very Blessed and safe Easter season. Blessings, Rev. Dooley As in past years we’re proud to feature a local biker minister on our ‘Easter: cover. Rev Dooley rides everyday, attends every event he can and is a valued part of the biker community. Red Stone Ministries’ home church is Harvest where we caught up with Dooley, son Chris, and wife MaryLu who did not wanta be in this picture...but we talked her into it...Thanks Lady, we love you! SC TATTOO LAWS Tattooing has only been legal in SC since 2006. South Carolina has some of the strictest tattooing laws in the US. Even though tattooing has been legalized in the state, each city and county has the option to add to the limits or restrictions to opening, or deny the application to open a tattoo shop all together. There are still several cities and counties in the state that continuously decline requests from potential shop owners. DHEC requires each shop to be 1000 ft away from a church, school, daycare or playground. Each artist must complete an approved (1) Bloodborne Pathogen, (2) Infection Control, (3) Red Cross First Aid, and (4) Adult CPR. Both 1 & 2 require annual renewal and 3 & 4 must be refreshed every 2 years. Artists are considered “experienced” after

performing over 1000 hours of tattoos in a licensed facility within a 36month period. All facilities must be inspected by SCDHEC before opening and are subject to random inspections at any time. Serious violations may even result in closing down a facility. The minimum age was changed from 21 to 18 in April 2010, thanks to Gov. Mark Sanford. Before this 18, 19, & 20 year olds had to have parental consent for each tattoo. All of the rules and regulations in SC may be inconvenient, but do have the customers best interest in mind. The rules attempt to keep fly by night or kitchen tattoo “artists” from injuring clients or passing Hepatitis A, B or C as well as HIV, Herpes, and TB. Please be careful with your choices.

On February 10th the Columbia Riders Chapter of ABATE (A Brotherhood Against Totalitarian Enactments) of SC held their annual Polar Bear Run to benefit the C.M. Tucker veteran’s home. If you’re not familiar with ABATE, they are the premier motorcycle rights organization in South Carolina. Never Forget where you came from

shop got farther and fewer between until we just kind of lost contact. However, all those years of working on bikes together in brotherhood, as gear heads do, always stuck with me. I continued through out the following years to pursue more mechanical and fabrication knowledge and know how from any dude willing to show me stuff where ever I found myself.

I know I usually try to deliver a cool tech article on how to fab up a bitch’n part or understanding some of the in and outs of acquiring and building a project bike, but recent events in my life have, without warning, brought me full circle and I thought I would share it with you. It has everything to do with wrench’n and for those who choose the path, just as much to do with the unexpected brotherhood of building, fixing and riding bikes as well as being a biker. So far, it has been a twenty year journey for me learning and developing the knowledge and skills, so that today I can, with confidence, build a bike performing every aspect of it myself. I never understood the value of these skills and knowledge until I came across someone worth passing it along to..someone “who gets it”. As strange as life can be, I have not only become friends with a young man that shares the same ideas and drive as myself when it comes to bikes and wrench’n, but I also have had the privilege of reuniting with the man that twenty plus years ago saw something in me that made me worthy of passing his motorcycle knowledge and skills to. He is one of the best men I have ever known and taught me how to wrench and what it means to be a biker. A long time ago life went and got busy. The Page 14 and late nights wrench’n in his long hours

It was like something was building in the air and before long the Shovelhead was uncovered and myself and the younger of us three started pulling parts out of well organized boxes. The Old ! Timer, my mentor just sat back in his chair with his beer. As we pulled out more parts I found myself passing on the story of where each part came from and what we had to do to make it work on the original version of the bike. I again saw my teacher sitting in his shop chair with a very content look. Pround that nothing I had learned had been in vain. I remembered and “I got it”. The three of us, spanning three generations with about twenty years between us in ages, have gotten together several weekends now putting this bike back together, often working on it till the sun comes up...”We never give up” and “We can sleep when we’re dead, right now we got to get this bike done”. ........to be continued........

I learned so much in that first shop though and never felt more accepted as I was being welcome into his family. A few things that really stuck to this day... First, “It aint rocket science” it’s just a motorcycle, so don’t over think it. Second, “Never give up” the next thing you try could fix the problem or the next hammer blow could break loose that stuck bolt. Thirdly, “You can sleep when your dead, right now we got to get this bike done”. Finally, “Only two things in this world you ever have to live with and feel sorry about, hitting a woman or killing someone that didn’t deserve it. All other mistakes you can make right”. Keep the wrenches spin’n & the sparks a fly’n. Later, Mojo It was kind of strange being back in the old shop after all these years but still Stop by The Original Billski Mods, Inc. familiar. I made the trip out there with in Rock Hill, SC located on Red River the young dude I been wrench’n and Rd. between Dave Lyle & Cherry Rd. We wrench on all sharing motorcycle knowledge with. I’ve Street Makes/Models from accepted him into my family just I was Vintage to Modern. way back then, my wife even referring to him as “my son”. So there we are, three generations of bike building bikers. I was or visit us on our website surprised to find my mentors Shovelhead www.billskimods.com still in the same state of rebuild as I saw it the last time we hung out long, long ago. As it turns out, his best friend, that he had grown up with and got into motorcycles with had gotten sick and passed away. The Shovelhead was covered up that day and not touched again. As the night rolled on we found ourselves passing beers out from the fridge and Saddle-Up & Lets-Ride telling stories of “remember when”...

BLACKGLASS If you find yourself out and about looking for a great band, BLACK GLASS is definitely a band that makes it well worth getting off of your “beaten path” to check out. You’ll know your close when you feel like you’ve traveled through time to the 80’s era arena rock concerts that many of us grew up on. Make your way through the crowd and you will usually find a group of bikers in front of the stage with their fists h e l d high in the air,

pumping to the beat of some of the greats such as Led Zepplin, Metallica, Motley Crue, Kiss, Aerosmith, Journey, or Ozzy; just to name a few! Founded in the fall of 2005, BLACK GLASS was the

culmination of four musicians that wanted to give audiences more than just a band playing THEIR favorite songs; they wanted to give crowds a live concert with the music from the most powerful eras and influential acts. From their beginning, BLACK GLASS has packed clubs and venues from Virginia to South Carolina. Along with headlining their own shows, BLACK GLASS has shared the stage with such acts as Dokken, L.A. Gunns, Johnny Van Zant, Steelheart and Steven Pearcy of Ratt. With the talents of Ronnie Rogers (lead vocals, lead and rhythm guitars), Evan Bloom (lead and rhythm guitars, backing vocals), TK (bass guitars and keyboards, backing vocals), and Scotti Montagnino (drums and percussion, backing vocals), they have established themselves as one of the top draws of the Mid-Atlantic region. Their “in your face” brand of live rock, with the seamless double axe attack of Ronnie and Evan, along with one of the most dangerous rhythm sections around, leaves the audience as exhausted as the band themselves. BLACK GLASS also brings the hardware: their gear. With Marshall Stacks, bass cabinets,

www.CarolinaChromeMagazine.com

Jamie Compton music editor

keys and a MASSIVE drum kit, they bring the hard rock experience to eager crowds each and every show. And with a PA system small

enough for clubs or big enough for large venues and theaters, and a visual show of both conventional AND intelligent lights, BLACK GLASS spares NOTHING and gives EVERYTHING. These guys bring the whole show to the stage. The stage presence, dead on vocals, screaming guitar licks, and “punch you in the chest” rhythm sections come together with the light show to ensure you are taken back in time and have a great time. If you have seen a Black Glass show in the past, you probably already know where to find them online, when and where they are playing close to you again, and hopefully have already reserved your table. (They always pack the house, reserve a table or you’ll be standing!) If you are one of the Carolina’s BLACK GLASS virgins you can check them out on Facebook or at www. blackglassband. com and they’ll be happy to pop your Rock n’ Roll cherry at a live show! Be prepared be ROCKED!! You have been warned! Page 23

History Truths WAR BETWEEN THE STATES

MOST SOUTHERNERS KNOW ABOUT ARE SEEN THE BONNIE BLUE FLAG. IT WAS THE FIRST UNOFFICIAL CONFEDERATE FLAG, HOWEVER MOST DON'T KNOW THE ORIGIN. I'LL TRY MY BEST TO EXPLAIN.. AT ONE TIME A PART OF FLORIDA WAS OWNED BY THE SPANISH. THE SPANISH SWAPPED LOUISIANA AND PART OF FLORIDA FOR CUBA TO THE FRENCH . THE PART OF FLORIDA THAT WAS SWAPPED WAS SETTLED BY THE BRITISH. THEY TOOK UNKINDLY TO THIS DECLARED WAR AND WON THERE INDEPENDENCE AND BECAME THE REPUBLIC OF WEST FLORIDA. THEIR FLAG "THE BONNIE BLUE". WHEN THE UNITED STATES ACQUIRED THE LOUISIANA PURCHASE, THE REPUBLIC JOINED THE US. MANY CONFEDERATE UNITS CARRIED THE FLAG DURING THE WAR.

Marli’s

What is “NO KILL” By: Marli, Santee Chrome Crew

I don’t get paid to ride my motorcycle, so like most folks, I also have a day job, gotta keep gas in the scoot. After chatting with RubyRed one afternoon and sharing a little about my work (w/Columbia Animal Shelter), she asked if I would put together a few quick tips, facts, etc. for each issue about the world of animal care and control and caring for our pets. So, here we go.....

Very often I hear comments along the lines of, “I won’t adopt from a shelter that euthanizes animals. I’ll only adopt from a “no kill” facility.” But what does “no kill” really mean? It’s often a misused term or used to misguide the public to promote a certain group or raise money. A facility that claims to be “no kill” usually means they are a limited entry facility. Meaning they usually only take animals that are highly adoptable, so they can turn them around and get them right back out. Not a bad thing exactly, but it also means that lesser adoptable pets are turned away to be sent to open entry facilities that have the unfortunate job of having to euthanize those that don’t find homes in a timely manner. The truth is euthanizing animals will always be necessary on some level. There will always be animals that are simply too old with

pet tips

health issues, too sick, too aggressive or too injured to be humanely or safely put back into society. The tragedy is when nice animals must be euthanized simply because there aren’t enough homes for them all. So again, what does “no kill” really mean? It really means “no kill of adoptable animals”. Euthanizing adoptable animals it not just a problem with any particular facility, it’s a community problem. “No kill of adoptable animals” is not something the local shelter or rescue groups can fix, it’s something the whole community and its citizens have to commit to and get behind to make it a reality. You may ask, how can I help? There are several ways you can help. The best start is to spay or neuter your current pet(s). By not allowing your pet to breed (even than one litter because you think your pet will have the cutest puppies or kittens), you won’t be contributing to an already enormous problem with pet over-population. Also, encourage your family, friends and neighbors to spay and neuter their pets. Secondly, if you are looking for a new pet, always consider a shelter pet. Every time a shelter pet is adopted it provides space for one more to have that same opportunity. Most shelters

S

avage

today also only adopt out pets that are already spay/neutered so you don’t have to worry about it. Don’t get pets from backyard breeders, puppy mills or flea markets. These are folks breeding just to make a quick buck and often the breeding animals live is terrible conditions. If you’ve already covered all those bases, donate to an organization that helps place shelter pets into new homes or raises funds to provide free spay/neuter vouchers to the public, so even more animals stop contributing to pet over-population. Today, more and more communities are striving to reach the goal of becoming a “no kill of adoptable pets” society. A worthy cause indeed and the right thing to do. To reach that goal however, it will mean that each of us have do our part and get behind that effort. It’s up to us as individuals to make sure our communities are pet friendly and pet safe. So, please spay and neuter and make your next pet a shelter pet. With that said, warmer weather is just around the corner. Hope to see you all out on the road somewhere. And if you get the chance to ride for an animal cause, I hope you will saddle up. Ride safe everyone.

Jesus caught his fish, then he cleaned them. Well here it is Easter all ready, and ya know that it’s official riding season for most folks after Easter comes,Time to get out that Scoot and show it off to folks and put them knees in tha breeze and blow by the trees. It seems that year after year there are more folks starting to ride every year. And with more bikes out there the risk is getting greater that we may loose a Brother or Sister during the summer. It’s not that they can’t ride (and maybe some can’t)But it’s the other folks around ya(the cages man) that seems to be the problem more and more every year. Well folks your life is the same way,We live life daily trying to be as careful as we can and some how or another things just seem to happen to us.Now as a young man Jesus went all through out the land teaching and preaching Gods word, and things and people came against Him all the time. He was destined to the Cross the Cross of death that you and I may have life lore abundantly. On that good Friday as we know it He was put on a cross for us man,to take away the sins of the world and on the third day he Arose out of the tomb on what we know as Easter morning. Now you may say what has this got to do with riding, everything my friend everything. When you are out there enjoying what you do and are just getting around to folks you want to see and help if they need it,you have to watch out for the folks around ya.See Jesus knew He was destined for the cross He knew this and when you go out you know that they are things around ya that could come to harm you.Jesus knew there would come a day when these folks would come against Him,But He also knew that God was with Him Do you.Known fact folks things are gonna happen but the way we prepare ourselves for when things do come has all to do with the outcome of it.For the experienced rider when he or she goes out

Page 34

they know that they have to keep focused on things around them because at anytime something or someone could come against them.Folks check this out,OK some wear helmets some don’t,some wear In The Wind With Christ, all the safety gear some don’t(and don’t get Rev. Cotton Pate me wrong I don’t like Chrome Crew the helmet and stuff [803] 475-9165 either) but those with [803] 246-0554 it are prepared though it may help and it may not.But with Jesus as your safety gear you are all ways ready regardless of what come against you, there is no “will it help” He’s gonna help it doesn’t matter what comes at ya.As Easter comes,we all in some shape or form like or probally have a cross,But do you really know what it stands for,And I like this especially as being a biker. It’s freedom,It’s knowing that it is for you it’s yours just like your bike is.Because of the cross you have freedom to live for Jesus and have life eternally,See folks there’s two things that are definitely gonna happen you’re gonna die and you’re gonna be judged Hebrews 9:27 simply says “And as it is appointed to man once to die,But after this the judgment”So do you have your safety gear are you ready to stand before the All Mighty Judge, and as I said being a biker one of our most fears wanting to admit it or not is a Judge point blank. But my Brothers and Sisters there will come a day when we will have no choice but to stand in front of one.Look at the things around you that are happening today,We want to blame it on the Government and that is a big problem thees days,But folks it’s Prophecies being full filled,We don’t have long and this ride will be over.Easter is not just about hiding eggs and I love to as I have a bus load of grand kids,But it’s about Jesus and the cross,it’s about we can have life and have it more abundantly.Well till next time ride safe and remember that there is one that will forever ride with ya Jesus Christ Saddle-Up & Lets-Ride

So if you’re not going to church because you don’t think you fit in….too many tats, a piercing or two, your clothes are wrong, you ride a motorcycle, or have been in prison. We may be just what you are looking for. All are invited, welcome & encouraged to attend. Come just as you are & park your sled along side the rest of us! NEW AND IMPROVED!

Hello Everyone, It’s that time of the year again. After a winter of customizing out motorcycles to the max its time to show off the hard work! The Love Doctors M/C of Columbia and Hooters has teamed up once to bring the Metro and surrounding areas one of the largest Bike Nights in town. We have combined forces with some of the best sponsors in the business. There’s Power Sports Center, Cycle Gear, Capital City Cycles, KD Party Bus, Fish Customs, Pure Power Performance and of course Carolina Chrome Magazine. This will be bigger and better than ever. There will be more games, prizes, vendors, bikes etc. I will personally pick the next 6 Beauty of the Months from Bike Night and feature her in the magazine. We are bringing back the Hooters FREE WINGS party to the club with the most members present the week before. There will be a 50/50 raffle every week. Our sponsors will also donate various prizes to be won. This summer we have added a new event that will take place once a month on Saturdays. It will consist of a bikini contest & bike wash and a car & bike show with even more vendors! Hooters will have food & drink specials all night long with a special Outdoor Bar every Wednesday. DJ B-Ready & DJ Rellie Rell (Party Pack DJs) will be here every week providing live music. There will be a special area set-up for Bike Portraits and keepsakes. Every month someone will win a grand prize that will include a special 2 hr use of KD’s Party Bus and free entry to the after party. News, Views. & Reviews Staring at a blank page can be a daunting experience when you are expected to put out something interesting to your fellow bikers. After years of reviewing bikes, rallies and righting editorials on several subjects, I’ve taken some time to recharge my batteries and think. The question is; what haven’t I touched on that is of interest to me and might be of interest or concern to my fellow bikers? I milled that around in my head for some time and there is one thing I never really addressed because of the volatility of the subject, and that is Clubs. I mean really, I’m a president of an owners club RC, a former patch holder of a local MC (ya you know who you are), and have been editorializing our lifestyle since the early days of Carolina Chrome. While doing this when the subject of clubs has come up, it has been as a passing mentioning of whom or what with very little commentary on biker organizations themselves. Smart policy maybe, but nowadays, the community has exploded with clubs to the point of it being ridiculous. Partially to blame is the very enjoyable but misleading show, Sons of Anarchy. Its first season was closest to the mark, but it has devolved to ridiculous amounts of violence and crime the likes of which no club could survive. What amazes me is, allot of people buy into it beyond its entertainment value. I’ve been witness to clubs both new and old, RCs and MCs, patterning there vests which was once called “colors” and is now called a “cut” because that’s what the TV show calls it, and patches to mimic those on the show. The best commentary of this that I have seen to date was a picture of a man in his

S.O.A. T-shirt, with his wife sitting next to him she was wearing a shirt that read “Support your local FAKE motorcycle club”. Actually quite a fine statement on the conditions of our subculture today. It seems to me there are allot of bikers desiring to be members of a club but they don’t want to go through the necessary time and trials of joining a long established group whether respected or notorious. Instead they get a few buddies together and sew up some patches and BAM instant club. Then they expect to roll into clubhouses of organizations that struggled, fought and sacrificed to make their organization survive for 20 or more years expecting the same treatment that is afforded to long time respected friends and fellow patch members receive. What a state we are in, it’s so convoluted. We have RCs acting like MCs; MCs acting like RCs, Groups splitting instead of bonding, then forming additional “clubs” to the point it is almost absurd. I find it is diluting the very essence of what it is to be a club member. Some may think that it’s just me getting old or maybe it’s that I don’t like change, but those who actually know me will assure you neither of that is not the case. I have been in the biker community nearly 20 years now and remember not that long ago, to join a club meant something. You were asked to join, not recruited. You earned your patch; you didn’t order it over the internet. It was a very select group of handpicked men, not a mass gaggle of a hundred guys each with his own idea of what it means to be a club member, surrounded by hundreds of more wanabees with little or no clue of true BROTHERHOOD. If you did want a bike club of your www.CarolinaChromeMagazine.com

own, permission was sought and you did not proceed without it or you would have hell to pay. The new club and its members were shunned until it earned the respect of other clubs, and that took time. Never were you welcomed with the attitude “come on in the water is fine”. Maybe just maybe, when SOA is cancelled and the craze subsides, the fly by nights will slowly dissolve, their members lose interest, and we will someday get back to where the long established clubs remain and the Johnny come latelys will fade away. We can only hope. Many “bikers” in the new clubs have never had to survive real harassment from rival clubs or cops, haven’t even ridden an EVO, never push started their friends pan head on a cold fall morning, or have defended their colors facing the business end of a .38, On the positive side, I still believe that there are some select bikers out there that still “get it”. Some are quite young, and that is encouraging. There is still a core in the Biker Community that truly understands what it is to be a club member. Numbers are unimportant, quality is essential, being on the same page is necessary long term survival of the group and only time will tell if you are successful. Bottom line if you are one of the massive crowd wanting to build your own bike club, grow a pair and prospect for your local long established club, start at the bottom and work your way up by gaining experience, and respect of your brothers. The club world is not for everyone, but and you just may learn something about yourself in the process.

I F YO U A R E E A S I LY O F F E N D E D T U R N T H E PA G E N O W Written herein you’ll find some original stories, mostly lies, & some stolen words of wisdon from various sources. It’s purely humor so lighten up Bubba

Oh boy have I got some news for you folks, enjoy a good smoke? My neighbor and brother in-law twice removed, ( w e l l only once removed by the police) is working on something brand new for the lovers of smoke. Seems the new fashion in smoking is the electric cigarette. (E-Cig) now this ol’boys name is as long as semi truck so we just call him Mudslide, partly because that’s what he looks like. He’s built sorta like a sack taters, if ya know what I mean. Ya see mudslide ain’t the brightest bulb in the lamp but he is some more kinda smart when it comes to smoking and burning things up. He once had us all convinced Walmart was selling marijuana. Seems he had stumbled across it in the crafts section. Called us all up and said he could get 100 yards for just $5 bucks. We all placed a order. When he got home we were eager to see this unbelievable deal. Well like most things it was to good to be true. He brought us all a ball of Hemp string. But to get back to the new invention this ol’boy has highly modified one of those new fangled e-cigs into a high powered fire breathing nitro burning smoking machine. Its like turning a steam engine into a top fuel dragster. Son this thing is going shake the ground when you fire it up! He has modified the the whole damn thing, right down to the supper high powered batteries. I mean this thing could crank a Harley! Only problem is the Page 44

test runs. The first one, the fire dept. showed up and the next one weren’t any better either, at his undisclosed secret location. Them rangers don’t like you much when you burn down some tree’s, well a lot of tree’s! Like a Forrest of tree’s. So they put him in the jail. I did get a letter from him the other day saying he working on blue prints for a new one, but since he has to draw everything on toilet paper his cell mate keeps using them up. See yuns on the road!!!! Rob is a commercial saturation diver for Global Divers in Louisiana. He performs underwater repairs on offshore drilling rigs. Below is an e-mail he sent to sombody (yeap I stole but still funny as 40 hecks) Hi Aaron, Just another note from your bottom-dwelling brother. Last week I had a bad day at the office. I know you’ve been feeling down lately at work, so I thought I would share my dilemma with you to make you realize it’s not so bad after all . Before I can tell you what happened to me, I first must bore you with a few technicalities of my job. As you know, my office lies at the bottom of the sea. I wear a suit to the office. It’s a wet suit. This time of year the water is quite cool. So what we do to keep warm is this: We have a diesel powered industrial water heater. This $20,000 piece of equipment sucks the water out of the sea. It heats it to a delightful temperature. It then pumps it down to the diver through a garden hose, which is taped to the air hose. Now this sounds like a darn good plan, and I’ve used it several times with no complaints. What I do, when I get to the bottom and start working, is take the hose and stuff it down the back of my wet suit. Saddle-Up & Lets-Ride

This floods my whole suit with warm water. It’s like working in a Jacuzzi. Everything was going well until all of a sudden, my butt started to itch. So, of course, I scratched it. This only made things worse.. Within a few seconds my butt started to burn. I pulled the hose out from my back, but the damage was done.. In agony I realized what had happened. The hot water machine had sucked up a jellyfish and pumped it into my suit. Now, since I don’t have any hair on my back, the jellyfish couldn’t stick to it However, the crack of my butt was not as fortunate. When I scratched what I thought was an itch, I was actually grinding the jellyfish into the crack of my butt. I informed the dive supervisor of my dilemma over the communicator. His instructions were unclear due to the fact that he, along with 5 other divers, were all laughing hysterically. Needless to say I aborted the dive.. I was instructed to make three agonizing in-water decompression stops totaling thirty-five minutes before I could reach the surface to begin my chamber dry decompression. When I arrived at the surface, I was wearing nothing but my brass helmet. As I climbed out of the water, the medic, with tears of laughter running down his face, handed me a tube of cream and told me to rub it on my butt as soon as I got in the chamber. The cream put the fire out, but I couldn’t poop for two days because my butt was swollen shut. So, next time you’re having a bad day at work, think about how much worse it would be if you had a jellyfish shoved up your butt. Whenever you have a bad day, ask yourself, is this a jellyfish bad day?

Dear Doc, In a heated argument here at Shuckers with a few Brothers. I like my woman with some meat on her. I don’t like to bounce around on a bag of bones. Goat Whisperer Sumter SC Goat Whisperer, With a name like Goat Whisperer, and the fact that you like to bounce on girls that you meet at oyster bars, you better take em as they come. If a girl finds anything about you remotely attractive enough to put her ass on your p pad then you better be smiling like a horse eating briars. And for God sake quit talking to farm animals, we have enough problems with our reputation around here.

Dear Doc, I’m in this argument too about skinny women. I think if you rub two sticks together you get FIRE. Old Goat aint got a clue. Hell he don’t even know who his Daaaaaaady is! Bob Sumter SC Bob, I’m prescribing you two beers on Goat just for the Daaaaady comment, you made beer come Page 46

out my nose. Party fouls aside I’m giving the same advice I’d give anyone in this predicament, women are great no matter what shape or size they come in, unless you like men, and I am not getting into that right now.

Dear Dr. Dillagaf, I wrote you a few months back about why I couldn’t just get my own spirit bells and put them on my bike. You said BECAUSE YOU JUST CAN’T. Well ok I’m guessing you know a lot about most everything as I faithfully read your page first every month when I get my Chrome. I want a road name. I call myself Mama Bear but I don’t like it really. What’s the protocol for choosing one’s nickname or road name as I’ve heard it called? Mama Bear Catawba DC Mama Bear, Nobody gave you a spirit bell, nobody gave you a road name. Sounds to me like you don’t have any friends to give you bells and call you names so here is what you need to do. RIDE YOUR BIKE. Spend enough time on two wheels with bikers and I have no doubt you will be a bell ringing, road named, card carrying biker in no time. That reminds me, I gotta go bell shopping for Sweet thang, Tramp, and biker chick Saddle-Up & Lets-Ride

named Crusher. Funny how riding season is a lot like Christmas around here.

Doc, You can kiss my Yankee butt. I wrote you and you chewed me a new one. DANG Bubba……. Everybody reads your page but they’re afraid to write. You gotta quit scaring people off man. I still think the one about the man riding the feathers on a sportster was the best! I will keep on writing in when I hear somebody say “ask Dr. Dilligaf”….I’ll just change my name and town to save me a reaming. NoName No Town, SC No Name, I wouldn’t kiss your Yankee butt if you brought General Lee back from the dead and found a way to make Sonny Barger president of the United States of America.
