What: Fall Rally Join Key Club members from all over North and South Carolina for a fun-filled day at Carowinds for Fall Rally 2013! The day will be jam-packed with motivational speakers and opportunities to learn specifics of club leadership. Don’t miss the excitement of the thrilling Carowinds roller coasters. Fly high on the drop zone or soar on the Intimidator. Whichever fantastically fun rides you choose to enjoy, you’ll be laughing the day away with your Key Club pals. For just $38.50, you can participate in the memorable Fall Rally festivities and enjoy your day riding exhilarating roller coasters. Don’t miss out on this amazing day of Fall Rally. Dues! Dues! Dues! One of the very first things your club should take care of as it leaps into this next year of Key club and school is to pay your club dues. It is extremely important that your club pay dues in order to remain in good standing with Key Club International. 15 members must pay dues. Below is the information you need to know when talking about dues:
SERVICE
How much? Dues for International are $6.50 Dues for Carolinas District are $6.50 Clubs can add additional dues, but they cannot exceed $6.50 When? Deadline for Early Bird is November 1st Deadline for all dues is December 1st How? Go to keyclub.org Hover over the “Lead” tab Click on “Membership Update Center” on the left hand side Print the invoice and mail it with a dues check payable to “Key Club International” to” o 3636 Woodview Trace o Indianapolis, IN 46268
*Key Club Leaders…
Show your members the BENEFITS AND EXPECTATIONS from membership. Are FRIENDLY AND GENUINE with all club members. Ask for HELP. Remember to lead is to SERVE. Recognize and make a big deal out of little VICTORIES. Encourage CREATIVITY to promote new ideas. Know they must EARN RESPECT. LISTEN before they speak. Take OCCASIONAL BREAKS from projects to relax. ADMIT when they’re wrong.
LEADERSHIP
Ponder this thought: *What are the qualities and characteristics of a great leader? What are my own strengths? How will I improve my leadership skills this year? How will I help others improve their leadership skills this year? Elected or appointed positions in your club don’t necessarily make you a leader. You are a leader through your service, and people recognize this. Just because you are or aren’t an officer for your club doesn’t mean you can’t be a wonderful leader for members in your club, students in your school, or people in your community.
