Rugby Real Ale Trail Thursday 25 to Sunday 28 September Why not follow the ‘Rugby Real Ale Trail’ - an 11 stop pub trail - and enjoy a superb selection of beers and ciders along with some fantastic hospitality, music, food and games. Make sure you collect six stamps on your ‘Real Ale Trail’ passport (on the back of the guide) for a FREE festival pint glass!

What is Real Ale? Real Ale is cask conditioned or bottle conditioned beer. What does that mean? Basically after the beer has been brewed and conditioned at the brewery it is loaded into casks and sent straight to the pub. It is not filtered or pasturised like most lagers and keg beers, what difference does this make? Filtering removes half the flavour and taste and pasturising it then removes the other half, so those lagers and keg beers have had all the taste removed unlike real ale which is packed full of it.

Rugby CAMRA Rugby CAMRA campaigns to promote real ale, encourages local pubs to sell it and supports the breweries in the area that produce it. Visit www.rugbycamra.org.uk for more information.
