SUNDAY JULY 14 Story in the Park

After the success of this magical interactive story for kids, Story in the Park is back and this time with a brand new story never before told. It was a fairly ordinary day when Daddy mouse and his child were riding their tandem through Caldecott Park, something they quite often do. But for some reason, this day was different. For this day, they were to be chosen to go on a quest. A quest to find the last remaining tin whistle hidden somewhere amongst the kingdom of Caldecott. Will the mice and their band of warriors find it in time and save animal kind? Or will the evil forces at work beat them to it and in doing so cast the Kingdom into a world of eternal silence? Devised and performed by Rugby Theatre, this production promises to be a magical tale told with charm. One not to be missed!

4

Venue: Caldecott Park Time: Running length 45mins. Performances begin at the following times: 12pm, 1pm, 2pm, 4pm, 5pm and 6pm Cost: Adults ÂŁ5, Children ÂŁ3 Booking: www.rugbytheatre.co.uk or by calling the box office on 01788 541234, or from Rugby Visitor Centre on 01788 533217 Audience: Families, particularly children aged 2 - 7 years. Events running throughout the festival Screen – an exhibition by Pip Dickens

Pip Dickens is a painter concerned with visual perception and concepts of illusion and double meaning. Building on previous work that looked at Japanese aesthetics and textile design, Screen is an exhibition featuring selected and new works utilising the conventional format of Japanese screens and also of wallpaper. Some of these paintings are celebratory and luxurious studies of bright, saturated colour and shadow. Other constructions lack adhesion - slipping, unpeeling and melting down to reveal contrasting layers. The exhibition continues until Saturday 31st August 2013.
