Located in the center of St. Petersburg, not far from St. Isaac's Cathedral, the apartment has undergone a renovation where the main task of the project was to preserve the original space of the main room with large windows. To guarantee the city view, all the main areas like the living room, kitchen and bedrooms are located along the windows while the utility rooms and bathrooms are located along the blank wall. The designers wanted to preserve the light and volume of the main room as much as possible, so to the open space composed by the spacious living room, dining area and kitchen was given the central part of the apartment with two windows. Here, as in the whole house, the interior design is a mixture of minimalism with classic elements. In the living room, an elegant metal library adjoins classic double doors with copper fittings. Following the minimalist mold, there is no sofa, but two gray armchairs have been positioned with a simple design - perfect to read a book or browse a newspaper. Next, we find the lunch table accompanied by two chairs and a bench - all in wood and strictly black, giving a rigid touch to the environment. In front, of the same color we find the kitchen tailored with copper details. Here, the designers have created a strong contrast by putting a white island from the industrial style that acts both from a work desk and from the counter to have breakfast. Above, we find the suspension of spherical lampshades in frosted white glass that reports the modern accent.
Minimalist technological solutions such as walls without plinth or terrace in the bathrooms laid with plaster through a copper partition were used. Another door in the bathroom leads to the toilet and laundry. Here, a fine and simple design has always been maintained, from neutral tones.
From the living room you reach the guest room that presents the similar scheme of the main bedroom: a large window, a simple bed with curved shapes and an en-suite bathroom. As a classic element, an ancient belief has been chosen. The modern style is followed by 2 small tables positioned on the sides of the bed, the lamps and the mirror leaned directly on the floor.
