ncuentros, reencuentros, el retrato de familia, la migración, la distancia, las pérdidas; son algunas de las vivencias que recogen las obras que propone Reinaldo Chavez para esta muestra. De carácter humanizante, las obras transmiten emociones con una naturalidad y calidez ya características de la aproximación plástica de Chavez. Personajes que nos hablan sutilmente, a través del gesto y la textura, de un espacio emotivo y sensorial que reitera la belleza de la efímera experiencia humana: nuestras vivencias
Encounters, reunions, the family portrait, the migration, the
distance, our losses; are some of the experiences that the works proposed by Reinaldo Chavez for this show relate to us. In a humanizing character, the works transmit emotions with a naturality and warmth already characteristic of Chavez´s pictorial approach. Characters that speak to us in a subtle way, through gesture and texture, about their emotional and sensorial spaces which remind us of the ephemerous beauty of the human experience: our experiences.

einaldo Chavez Maydana nació en La Paz. Estudió en la Carrera de Artes Plásticas, de la Universidad Mayor de San Andrés. El artista plástico Alberto Medina Mendieta así se refiere a su obra…“Quiérase o no el arte es fiel reflejo del momento en que se patentiza, es el testimonio vivo del presente con proyección al futuro para conocimiento del pasado. Reinaldo Chavez Maydana ha comprendido tal aserto, su obra lo demuestra por ser expresión cabal del momento actual, al reflejar toda nuestra realidad. Su temática, sus formas, sus colores y sus texturas son objeto de una fuerte personalidad que representa su origen, su entorno y su exquisita sensibilidad para interpretar todo lo que se propone. Posee un buen oficio que le permite dominar todas las técnicas que utiliza sin reticencias, desechando las especialidades que ahora significan una traba para la libre expresión. Se manifiesta en forma natural y espontánea, sabe que la obra de arte fluye de su interior convirtiéndole en un verdadero creador”. La obra de Reinaldo Chavez está representada en colecciones de Bolivia, Perú, Brasil, Argentina, México, Estados Unidos, Canadá, España, Alemania, Italia, Francia, Reino Unido, Suecia y Japón.

einaldo Chavez was born in La Paz, Bolivia, in 1978 and studied Fine Arts at the Major University of Saint Andrews in La Paz. The celebrated plastic artist Alberto Medina Mendieta comments about Reinaldo Chavez: “Want it or not, art is a faithful reflection of the moment in which it is created, it is the living testimony of the present with a future projection for a knowledge of the past. Reinaldo Chavez has understood this assertion, as his work demonstrates this by being the fit expression of the present, a reflection of our reality. His themes, his forms, his colors, and his textures, are the objects of a strong personality representing his origins, his milieu and his exquisite sensibility to interpret everything he intends to. He possesses great skills that allow him to dominate all techniques without reluctances, taking aside all the specialties that are currently a tether for free expression. He manifests himself in a natural and spontaneous manner, knowing that the artwork flows from within himself, making of him a true creator.” Reinaldo Chavez´s works are present in museums and private collections in Bolivia, Peru, Brazil, Argentina, Mexico, the United States, Canada, Spain, Germany, Italy, France, the United Kingdom, Sweden, and Japan.
