The word “welcome” originated from the Old English word “wilcumian,” an exclamation of a kind greeting.

The Sunriver Area Chamber of Commerce warmly welcomes you and thanks you for choosing Sunriver as your place to vacation, own a business or call home.

What makes Sunriver incredibly wonderful is that there truly is something for everyone to enjoy, from reading a book and sunbathing at one of the pools, golfing at the award-winning courses, skiing or mountain biking at Mt. Bachelor or casting a line at a nearby mountain lake. The Chamber invites you to take time to admire sunrises and sunsets, rediscover the night sky’s brilliant beauty, gaze at the Cascade Mountains, listen to the birds, learn the area’s history and explore the nearby rivers, lakes and mountains.

“A Vision That Came to Life,” reads a plaque at the Sunriver Lodge honoring co-founders John and Betty Gray. John Gray once said, “Ecology ‘talk’ need not just be talk. A total community can be built in sympathy with the land, and with the animals and with the people.”

Discover the countless harmonious bridges of nature, animals and people throughout Sunriver, from the paved bike/ walking paths to the open spaces.

The Sunriver Area Chamber of Commerce along with The Village at Sunriver, Sunriver Resort and the Sunriver Owners Association welcome you to the “playground of the Pacific Northwest” and wish you a magical visit that leaves you wanting to visit again and again.
