Conquer the Snow on a Fat-tire Bike

In Sunriver, there is a bike for every season and trail. Once the snow arrives, locals and tourists enjoy navigating Sunriver’s bike paths and mountain bike trails on a Fattire bike or Fatbike.

The tires can be five inches wide, allowing riders to conquer any terrain.

LOOKS AND NAME ARE DECEIVING

Maybe it is its name or its look that make fatbikes appear to be heavy. The frames and rims were designed to make the bikes surprisingly light and easy to handle. As for navigating the snow, the tire pressure is reduced to less than five pounds, providing amazing traction and stability.

A trail network accessed from the Wanoga Sno-Park is groomed for fat-tire bikes by volunteers from the Central Oregon Trail Alliance. As the sport becomes more popular, watch for even more fat-tire bike trails easily accessible from Sunriver.
