Tonight, the Croatian guest chef Stjepan Vukadin and the head chef of KOUZINA Dina Nikolaou collaborate in perfect harmony with the executive chef of Avaton Luxury Hotel & Villas – Relais & Chateaux, Panos Papadopoulos and prepare a menu of four (4) authentic Croatian dishes inspired by the Mediterranean Dalmatian shores.

Menu THE FEAST OF THE MEDITERRANEAN CROATIANS & ATHONIANS Smoked tuna tartare, lime, marinated artichokes*, fava bean puree, quail egg, flavored cracker (*On the green hills of Ierissos, you will find and collect extra delicious wild artichokes)

Saint Jacques’ meat, mussels**, fried cuttlefish gnocchi, cherry tomatoes, “buzara” (a typical dalmatian way to prepare fish and shells) (**Olympiada is famous for its mussels’ production. The clean water of Strimonikos gulf, the Aristotelian Mountain with the rich vegetation, the virgin environment, the content of the sea water make the Olympiada mussels delicious, big, heavy, strong and healthy)

White fish***, cauliflower and nettle cream, mint and dandelion stock, zucchini (***The fish and the seafood of Mount Athos are renowned for their exquisite flavor. The reason they are so different from the rest is that the waters of the bay are deep and clean, as the area has many sea currents and there are no organized cultivations to affect it. Thus, our seafood is caught in very deep waters, with the highest salinity in Greece, and rich in plankton and clean food, since no rivers or streams end up in the bay to disturb the balance of the water composition)

Dessert: Vanilla crumble, lemon curd, seasonal fruit in pear liqueur Served with a glass of Mountovina**** (****Moudovina is a distillate of honey, produced only in Arnea by local beekeepers)
