Fates Tune
I. Fate’s
Jasmin Sin Nicole James Tune
oh, searching souls
beloved dealer, has fate arrived? “just now.”
woeful weather nervously, naively, naturally, i wish to peek at fate’s new harmony — the blue lyrics swinging; listen to her killing verse; her chaotic improv and i wish to hum knowingly to her sick and bitter tune.
she sings as if she enjoys all her off notes... “can’t you tell me what comes next?” fate turns to me with victory in her eyes and mischief on her mind “haven’t you heard?” she grins, “it’s a surprise.” oh, my beloved fate, why must you be so cruel? could you not tell that since you’ve arrived no longer do people stand in long lines? no, instead they pray to get past the signs. yet you still continue to play your little game.
oh, how fun it must be, to have your good name. but the hermit has fallen, and the lands grow barren. so for everybody’s sake, i hope you let up our fate.
oh, wandering wise, i say to you now, “bravo, my fellow kind!” for you have lasted this long without demise,
so please hold on till the end of time
tenacious tragedy: as fate deals her hand and curses plague the land; three cards stand, and your time has spoken: “you have definitely overstayed your welcome...” so the hermit crawls back into its shell to wait out this undying living hell, but the tower has toppled and the hermit is crippled as it screams: “no more o’ that, my lord, no more o’ that;” inside thinking: lord, how much i’d like to hit you with a bat.
