New faculty, staff share insight to personal lives, excitement for 2016-2017

MR. BOBBY ALLEN ’83 THEOLOGY/ENGLISH

What high school and college did you attend? I went to Cathedral, IU for Secondary Education (English), then I went to Butler for my Master’s in administration. What sports or other activities were you involved in during high school? In high school I played baseball and basketball. What is your favorite candy? My favorite candy is Skittles. What are you most excited about for this year? I am excited to be back teaching at Cathedral again. I am also looking forward to developing more lifelong connections.

What sports or other activities were you involved in during high school? In high school I played football, basketball and baseball. I was also involved in Peer Mentoring, National Honor Society and Student Council. What is your favorite candy? My favorite candy is peanut M&Ms. What are you most excited about for this year? I am most excited about working with the students and getting to know all of them.

What high school and college did you attend? I graduated from New Prairie High School and Ball State University. What sports or other activities were you involved in during high school? I played football, ran track and swam. I was also in art club and band. What are you most excited about for this year? I am most excited about being part of the Cathedral Family!

What sports or other activities were you involved in during high school? I was involved in student government; in junior year I was class secretary and senior year I was vice president. I can’t sing, act or dance so they invented the role of student director for me one year. I was also editor of the Megaphone junior and senior year. What are you most excited about for this year? I am most excited about being back! Last year I was hired for the second semester with no guarantees of future employment at Cathedral, but it worked out.

What high school and college did you attend? I graduated college from Cal-State, Fullerton. I also have a law degree from Southwestern University School of Law in Los Angeles. What is your favorite candy? My favorite candy is Snickers, no doubt. What are you most excited about for this year? Since I started June 1st, I am excited to see this great place, Cathedral, IN ACTION!

What high school and college did you attend? I graduated from Broad Ripple High School in 1990. I then went to IU Bloomington for undergraduate studies and IU - Indianapolis (now McKinney Law School) for law school. What are you most excited about for this year? I am most exited about meeting new students and being the new coach of the Cathedral Men’s Soccer C-Side Team.

What high school and college did you attend? I went to Danville High School, Purdue and currently, I go to IUPUI. What sports or other activities were you involved in during high school? I played clarinet in band and was on the social studies academic team. What is your favorite candy? My favorite candy is dark chocolate, so don’t be afraid to share yours with me!

What sports or other activities were you involved in during high school? I played volleyball and I was involved in A Promise to Keep, Costume Crew, National Honor Society and Student Council. What is your favorite candy? My favorite candies are Reese’s & KitKats. What are you most excited about for this year? I am most excited about being back at Cathedral and getting to know the students!
