Girls’ Cross-Country Head coach: Mr. Mark Doctor Previous coaching experience: Doctor has served as head coach for nine years and before that, was an assistant coach for three. Season outlook: “While we have lost a lot of talent from last year’s team, we do bring back several runners with State meet experience and we have several very promising freshmen. Our summer conditioning has gone very well, and the team looks to be at least as strong as last year. While we currently lack a clear front runner like we had last year, it is possible that someone will grow into that role. We will probably have a stronger pack than we have had in the past.
We are currently ranked 30th in the Indiana Runner Preseason poll and are favored to win both City and Sectional championships. We also have a good chance of repeating as Indiana All-Catholic Champions. We hope to add a few wins to those meets, and should move up considerably in the polls. We hope to return to the State championships for the third straight year, and improve on last year’s fourth-place finish.” – Doctor Next meet: The team will travel to LaVern Gibson for the State preview.
