What high school and college did you attend? I attended St. Joseph High School. Then, I went to Holy Cross College and Purdue. What sports or other activities were you involved in during high school? I played basketball and swam. What is your favorite candy? This is hard because I love candy. If I had to pick just one, I’d say Snickers. What are you most excited about for this year? I am most excited to contribute to an amazing school that is filled with positive energy.

What high school and college did you attend? I went to Traverse City St. Francis High. Then I went to St. Joseph’s College and Teachers College, Columbia University. What sports or other activities were you involved in during high school? I played basketball and baseball. I was also involved in Student Council, and I was an Eucharistic minister. What are you most excited about for this year? I am most excited to get to know the staff and students.

What high school and college did you attend? I am a graduate of Carmel High School. I went to IU, I got my masters at National-Louis University in Chicago and I went to the Illinois Institute of Art Chicago. What sports or activities were you involved in during high school? I got involved with plays, show choir, the radio station, student government, marching band flag squad, track and French club. What are you most excited about for this year? This year, I am most excited to be part of this community. After living and traveling to many places around the world, it is nice to come back to a place where people authentically care about each other.

What high school and college did you attend? I went to Lafayette Central Catholic and Ball State. What sports or other activities were you involved in during high school? I played basketball. What is your favorite candy? My favorite candy is Kit Kat.

Where did you grow up? I grew up in Indianapolis. What high school and college did you attend? I went to Cathedral and Butler. Go DAWGS! What sports or other activities were you involved in during high school? I was involved in A Promise to Keep and Mission Possible. I played volleyball, swam and ran track. What is your favorite candy? Chocolate is my favorite candy. What are you most excited about for this year? I am most excited about being a school counselor and providing a dependable support system for my students to help them become the best they can be.

MRS. SUE WELCH ENGLISH

What sports or other activities were you involved in during high school? In high school, I was the editor of our school paper, The Academy Courier. I played soccer, basketball and softball until a line drive to the eye made my position on third base less appealing. What are you most excited about for this year? I am excited about so much as we begin the school year. I have taught for many years, but I never tire of meeting new students and glimpsing their potential from our first interactions.

MR. MATT WOLFERT ADVANCEMENT

What high school and college did you attend? I attended Talawanda High School in Oxford. I then went to IU for my undergraduate and Ohio University for my graduate (degree). What sports or other activities were you involved in during high school? I played football, basketball and tennis. What is your favorite candy? After much internal deliberation, I’m going with Spree. What are you most excited about for this year? I’m most excited about meeting all the students, faculty, staff, alumni and donors. I can’t wait to hear what it is that everyone individually loves about CHS.

Where did you grow up? I grew up in mainland China and my hometown, Changzhou, is located on the east coastal (Yangzi Delta) area. What sports or other activities were you involved in during high school? We didn’t do many sports in Chinese high school. Studying for the college entrance exam was the center of our three-year high school life. What is your favorite candy? My favorite candy was a Chinese milk candy called white rabbit. You will see it when you come to my classroom. What are you most excited about for this year? The most exciting thing this year to me is to become a Chinese teacher at Cathedral High after completing my transition to teaching program at IUPUI.
