Biographies In addition to his role as Music Director of the Cathedral Choral Society, STEVEN FOX is also the Artistic Director of The Clarion Orchestra and The Clarion Choir, and Founder of Musica Antiqua St. Petersburg. A 2016 and 2018 GRAMMY® nominee, he has appeared as a guest conductor with many renowned ensembles including Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra, Handel and Haydn Society, Juilliard415, Charleston Symphony Orchestra, Quebec Symphony Orchestra, and l’Opéra de Québec Assistant Conductor and Pianist of the Cathedral Choral Society, JOY SCHREIER is praised by Plácido Domingo as an “orchestra at the piano” and The Washington Post as a “responsive accompanist” and “ideal support” at the piano. She has been presented in recital at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, Merkin Hall, the White House, Kennedy Center, Corcoran Gallery, National Gallery of Art, National Museum for Women in the Arts, and Strathmore. Hailed as “a lyric soprano of ravishing quality” (Boston Globe), LAURA CHOI STUART has appeared on the mainstage with Boston Lyric Opera, Opera Boston, and Annapolis Opera. Laura performs regularly with Washington Bach Consort and Washington Master Chorale. She has soloed several times with Cathedral Choral Society, including most recently, in Bach’s Schlummert Ein BWV 82a, as a tribute to J. Reilly Lewis at the opening of the 2017.18 season.

DINNER AND WINE TASTING PARTY Customize a dinner party for 14 with a private chef and delicious wines at the home of Ernie and Cathy Abbott. The evening includes a tour of the Abbotts’ eclectic art collection.

CLARION AT THE MET Spend a weekend in New York City and attend the Clarion Choir performance of Francisco Guerrero’s Missa de la Batalla Escoutez at The Met Cloisters, the branch of the Museum dedicated to the art, architecture, and gardens of medieval Euope.

WEEKEND GETAWAY IN STAUNTON, VA Enjoy a weekend away in the Shenandoah Valley. This charming small town boasts a vibrant arts and music scene and a sizzling reputation for local food and dining. Package includes two tickets to the American Shakespeare Center.
