CLUB FAQs Do I need to make a reservation? We encourage you to make a reservation if you know you will be coming in – even if you are on your way! This helps us to prepare a table specifically for your group and to ensure you have a wonderful experience. Reservations for events such as Mother’s Day, the Anniversary Party, etc., are required. What is the ‘service charge’ on my dining receipts? The 20% service charge is separated with 15% going to your server, and 5% going to the Club to cover labor costs.

TOURNAMENT CLUB MEMBERSHIP What is it? The Cattail Creek Tournament Club (TC) is a simple, cost-savings benefit to Members who anticipate participating in at least 3-4 Cluborganized golf events. As a new Golf Member, you have a complimentary TC membership for your first season. The price covers registration costs for many singular and season-long events that are geared towards all genders and skill levels. Standard cart fees apply. Those who do not opt into the TC may still participate in events at their advertised singular costs. For more information on included events, refer to your Sports Book. Family Golf $275

WEEKEND & HOLIDAY LOTTERY What is it? On weekends and holidays, a lottery request system is used to fairly assign Member starting times prior to 11:00 a.m. Weekend lottery requests must be submitted via the standard online tee system by Thursday at 5:00 p.m. for the upcoming weekend.

CELL PHONES Text messaging is acceptable on the Golf Course and practice areas. Please limit verbal cell phone usage to the Lower Patio and the parking lot.

GUEST POLICY Guests may play one time per 30-day period by paying current guest fees, charged to the Member’s account. Cattail Dining and Social Members are considered to be Guests and must be accompanied by a Golf Member and abide by the standard golf Guest policy.

Please keep these general guidelines in mind when enjoying the Golf Course: • Concentrate your golf cart traffic in the fairways, making gradual turns, and always keep in mind that you are driving on a living plant. • Cart traffic is restricted to the cart path on holes 5 and 6, as well as the par 3’s. • Small white and black posts will indicate some entry and exit points on and off the fairways. • Replace your divot, when possible. • Pick up your broken tees and fix your ballmark (and one other, if you can). Ballmark repair tools are provided by the Golf Shop and the Golf Professional Staff can advise you on the proper way to use them.

DRESS CODE Adults and Juniors are expected to abide by the dress code guidelines on the Golf Course and on all practice areas. Members are responsible for informing their guests of the dress code guidelines in advance. Unacceptable: • Graphic T-shirts • Untucked shirts

CATTAIL CREEK WOMEN’S GOLF ASSOCIATION What is CCWGA? The CCWGA promotes women’s golf at the Club and encourages all women Golf Members to experience the enjoyment derived from playing golf. The cost to join CCWGA is included in the Tournament Club, or $50.

Men’s Hiahleah – This three day event includes 36-Holes of golf, pairings party, and stag Dinner. Pairings determined by an ABCD Blind Draw. Cattail Cup – A Ryder Cup-style format that includes a live draft by team captains followed by four 9-hole matches (both team and individual). An annual sell-out! Men’s Special – A pairings party Friday evening with a blind draw for partners, followed by 18 holes Saturday and Sunday. Gentleman’s Invitational – This signature three day event begins with a Practice Round, followed by five 9-hole rounds of golf , as well as a Stag Night, Couples Party, and Championship Playoff. Format is 90% handicap; Four Ball Match Play with strokes off the low handicap in the foursome. Men’s Member-Member – The premier Member event of the season, always held in October, includes 36-holes of golf, and Pairings Party, Stag Night, and Playoff Cocktail Party. Format is 9 holes each of scramble, alternate shot, better ball and aggregate. Men’s & Women’s Club Championship – Format is match play (gross within flights of like handicaps). Championship Flight will have 16 players. All other Men’s Flights will have 8 players and all Women’s Flights will have

4 players. To qualify for the Championship Flight, Members must play on one of the two qualifier days, and then the 13 lowest gross scores will advance to the Championship Flight, with the current Club Champion, Senior Club Champion and Junior Club Champion receiving automatic entry. Purplepalooza Golf Invitational – A friendly 18-hole scramble with contests and prizes, benefitting Pancreatic Cancer Research. Women’s Member-Member – 6-holes each of scramble, alternate shot, and better ball of partners; gross and net divisions, full handicap. Includes a cocktail party following the event.

With 7 har-tru Tennis Courts at your disposal, along with plenty of clinics, lessons & junior camps available, there is no excuse not to get the family out for a day of tennis at Cattail! New to the game? No problem! Our Tennis Professionals will get you up to speed in no time – just stop by the Tennis Office for help. TENNIS INSTRUCTION Cattail offers individual and semi-private lessons for men, women, and junior Members. Whether you’re at the beginner level, or an advanced, competitive player, private instruction is extremely beneficial. We also offer numerous camps, clinics and leagues that cater to all levels and ages of players. Non-Members or Dining Members may play tennis at Cattail Creek as the Guest of a Social or Golf Member, no more than twice per month. Guest fees are charged directly to the Member’s Cattail account.

Tennis clinics at Cattail offer a variety of specific instruction targeted to different ability levels, and are offered throughout the outdoor season. Advance online registration is required, as the clinics typically sell out quickly.

JUNIOR TENNIS

A Playmate Ball Machine is available for your practice needs on Court 5. It can be reserved in 30 minute increments, by calling the Tennis Office or by using the online Court Reservation System. A member of the Tennis Professional Staff will set up the machine for you at the start of your reserved time. Members are responsible for gathering all balls after practicing, and for securing the Ball Machine in the storage facility.

Cattail’s goal for all Junior players is for them to be confident and able to compete on their school team or in USTA tournaments. At Cattail Creek, we want to provide that opportunity! Cattail kids can improve their game by participating in: • Camps • Clinics • Junior Summer League

CATTAIL CREEK WOMEN’S TENNIS ASSOCIATION What is CCWTA? The Association (CCWTA) promotes the social aspect of tennis among the women of Cattail Creek; players at all levels are encouraged to participate. Throughout the season, CCWTA hosts a number of both daytime and evening socials to accommodate the various scheduling needs of our Members. The cost to join CCWTA is $25.

TENNIS FAQs How do I get started in Tennis at Cattail if I’m a beginner? Stop by the Tennis Office during normal operating hours and speak with one of the Tennis Professionals. They will get you set up with all the items you need and also schedule a private lesson, clinic, etc. Does it cost anything for my family to go out & play on the courts? Social & Golf Members have full access to the Tennis Courts included in their Membership and may play whenever they wish. Make sure to make a Court reservation before coming out!

POOL FAQs Can my young children wear swim diapers in the main pool? Yes! The Pool allows Cattail Kids who aren’t potty-trained yet to wear swim diapers in the main pool, as long as they are accompanied by an adult. Can we bring rafts and inner tubes into the pool? Only pool-approved balls, toys & noodles are permitted in the pool. Rafts & inner-tubes are not.

POOL Cattail Creek’s pool facility is perfect for a day of relaxing, entertaining the kids, hosting your child’s birthday party or even getting some exercise in by swimming laps! Equipped with plenty of chairs and umbrellas, there is always a spot for your family to lounge or grab a bite from the Pool Café. No towels needed!

The Pool season runs Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend. During the season, the Pool is open 7 days per week. While Howard County Public Schools remain in session, prior to summer break, the Pool will stay closed on Mondays.

POOL CAFÉ All food and drink consumed at the Pool facility must be purchased from the Pool Café. The Pool Café offers friendly service for Lunch and Dinner and everything in between. Café Hours Sunday - Thursday, & Holidays 11:30 a.m. - 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday 11:30 a.m. - 8:30 p.m.

The Crocs are “not your average” swim team. We are in search of swimmers who want to have fun while building self-esteem, proper swimming technique, personal best times, team spirit and sportsmanship!

FITNESS The Fitness Center at Cattail is much more than what is inside its four walls. With our 6-week Boot Camp classes, personal training and golf fitness classes, -our fitness instructors will have you out of your gym comfort zone!

Who can use the Fitness Center? Members age 16 and older are permitted to use the Fitness Center independently. Members ages 13-15 may use the Fitness Center only with a supervising adult or independently once they complete the youth certification program with the Senior Fitness Instructor.

GUEST POLICY Non-local houseguests who do not permanently reside within 50 miles of the Club may work out in the Fitness Center with their host Social or Golf Member, permitted a Fitness Guest form has been submitted via the Club’s website at least 24 hours in advance. The form must be submitted each time a Member wishes to bring a non-local guest to the Fitness Center. There is a $15 Fitness Guest Fee assessed per person, per visit. A Member may bring a maximum of two non-local guests to the Fitness Center at a time.

There is a discount given for doing more than 1 session/week.

BOOT CAMPS Cattail’s Boot Camps are suitable for all fitness levels, from experienced to beginner! No two workouts are the same; resistance training, body weight exercises, calisthenics, running, partner workouts, and circuit training are incorporated. $120 for each 6 week session Register online for available winter, spring, summer, and fall 6-week sessions

FITNESS FAQs Are there ever wait times for equipment? Cattail’s Fitness Center has busy times just like any other gym. Mornings before work and mid-morning, along with after-work hours can bring in more Members, but wait times are not typical.

BILLING Cattail makes taking care of your Club bill easy – sign up for online payments through our website or set it up through your personal bank. If you ever have a question or concern regarding your bill, our accounting department will be happy to accommodate you (see contact information below).

BILLING What? Early each month, you will receive a statement that reflects the coming month’s dues and the past month’s charges. Where? The monthly statement will come to your home address, your email, or both, depending on your selection when you completed your Membership application. This selection can always be updated - just contact the Accounting Department. When? Payment for monthly balances is due by the 20th of each month with a 5 day grace period, after which a late fee of 5% will be charged to your account. How? The statement is payable by setting up online payment through your bank’s website or the Club’s website (see below for instructions on this).You may also mail or drop off a check if you would prefer.

BILLING FAQ’S

BILLING FAQ How are dues billed? Cattail bills your monthly dues one month in advance. For example, when you receive your January statement, it will bill the February dues. When does my Food & Beverage Minimum begin & what does it include? Your F&B Minimum begins the first full month after you join, and it includes food and non-alcoholic beverages. Alcohol, service charge, and taxes are not included.

Log into the website and select the ‘My Billing & Statements’ option under the ‘My Account’ tab.

Select ‘Bill Pay’ on the left-hand side, which will bring you to the screen above. Enter the required information. You can set up for a one-time payment or a recurring monthly payment. It typically takes 5-7 days for funds to reach the Club once the payment is generated.

COMMUNICATIONS Cattail Creek prides itself on communicating up-to-date information with its Members, whether it is through Club email, the website, Facebook, Instagram, or blogs. You can even sign up for text alerts to receive notifications of closures on the Course, at the Pool, or on the Courts due to weather. Our new Cattail App puts making reservations, tee times, or an online payment right at your fingertips.

WEBSITE LOG-IN Our website has a private-side for Member use. We make our site easy-to-use and run all of our online reservations through the site. Select ‘Member Login’ (viewed to your right) and enter your personal username and password.

EMAIL OPT-IN’S How do I sign up to receive Cattail Creek emails? Log in to the Cattail website with your username & password. Visit the “My Opt-In Email Groups” page under the heading “My Account.” Check off the boxes next to the groups you wish to be kept up-to-date on, and then update your groups.

TEXT ALERTS We use text messaging to communicate closures and important announcements about the Club’s facilities in some areas of Cattail, and we would like to eventually implement the procedure across the board. Please follow the below instructions to set yourself (and other family members) up to receive the messages. 1. Log into the Club’s website. 2. Once in the ‘Member’s Only’ site, scroll over the second navigation tab, ‘My Page.’ Click on the option ‘Member Directory.’ 3. Click on the third top navigation tab in the directory, ‘My Profile.’ 4. Approximately halfway down the page with your editable personal information, you will see your username/password and registered email address(es) listed. Directly below this information is a line called ‘Text Messaging Address.’ Click ‘edit’ and a box will appear that will prompt you to choose your cell phone service provider. Next, you will be prompted to enter your cell phone number. You will immediately be sent a text message with a code. Enter the code into the code box on the computer screen, and this will complete the registration process. *As only one cell phone can be registered per user profile, we strongly recommend that each spouse log in to his/her own profile and register their own cell phone for text messaging.

THE CATTAIL APP Download the Cattail App wherever you get you Appa - just search “Cattail Creek.” Once you have downloaded the App, log in with your personal username and password. The Home Screen allows you to do a number of things, including making a tee time viewing the Club Calendar, visiting the Member Directory, and paying your bill online. Don’t miss out on someadditional items under “Menu” button on the top lieft-hand side of the Home Screen. Be sure to visit your Member Profile and update your picture.
