Dear Cattail Kids of all ages, Our entire Membership & Marketing Department is VERY excited to announce that last week we received a personal phone call from Santa. He contacted us to let us know that he will be sending Cattail an Elf on the Shelf this year to keep an eye on our Members during the month of December! If you’re not familiar with Elf on the Shelf, check out the story behind the game to the right. We’re going all out to incorporate the theme into everything we do during the month of December and we hope you’ll get into the Elf spirit with us! Our Elf’s photo antics will primarily be posted via our Instagram account - http://instagram.com/ cattailcreekcc. We encourage all Member kids and adults to start following us to participate in the fun that awaits. During the month, please use #cattailelf if you post your own photos of our Elf activities in December.

What is

Elf on the Shelf?

Elf on th e Shelf is a fam ily holida tradition y that beg an with children’s a 2005 book. Th e premis e is that Santa sen ds elves to childre ns’ home beginning s on Thank sgiving e ach year. Each famil y’s elf flie s back to the North Pole each night to g ive Santa a naughty or nice r eport. Th e elf then leaves for the year on Chris tmas. The fun come in when k s ids get to first help choose a name for their elf, a nd secon d look fo the elf ea r ch mornin g to see w hat antics or misch ief he ha s gotten into upo his nightly n return fro m the No The only r th Pole. rule assoc iated with Elf on the Shelf, is th at he can ’t be touc hed or he will lose his magic and be un able to fl back each y night.

FIRST AND FOREMOST…our Elf will need a name! Members of all ages are encouraged to submit entries via the form on our website. We’ll narrow down the entries to a manageable list on November 14, and then the Membership will vote in a final website poll to name Cattail’s Elf. Graciously,

I’m so excited to make Cattail my home!

Can you help name me?!

Thanksgiving

FAQ’S

JENNIFER TUROWSKI [CATERING DIRECTOR] & JUSTIN PASSERO [DINING ROOM MANAGER]

The holidays are a busy time. With all of the cooking, shopping, and being on-the-go, it is hard to find time to enjoy your family and friends. Let us help! Take advantage of our Thanksgiving Carry-Out to ease your Thanksgiving kitchen blues.

Does Thanksgiving Carry-Out count towards my quarterly food minimum requirement? Yes!

Where do I place my order? On the Cattail Creek website. Log in with your credentials and you’ll see the link on the homepage. Links will also be in upcoming emails from the Club.

I don’t need the entire dinner; can I order just a few items? Yes! All the components of the dinner are available individually. This includes the turkey, as well as all the sides. Use the “Additional Sides” section of the online order form to pick and choose your preferred singular items.

My family loves mashed potatoes; can I order more than what is included in the complete dinner? Yes! Use the “Additional Sides” section of the online order form to notate items you would like in addition to your complete dinner. My kids hate squash; can I substitute this item for more of another included side? Yes! Please list your substitution request in the “Comments” section. DO NOT list it in the “Additional Sides” section as it will instead appear that you are ordering extra.

I don’t need a complete meal; how do I know how much to order? Estimated serving sizes per portion: 12 lbs. Turkey – 8 people 16 lbs. Turkey – 12 people 24 lbs. Turkey – 20 people Pint – 2-3 people Quart – 4-6 people Single Pumpkin Bread Loaf – 8 people Pie – 8 people

Can I order items aside from those that are listed on the order form? Yes! Not everyone likes turkey, so please contact Jennifer Turowski to inquire about special food requests.

HOLIDAY GUIDE 2014

12

Is the Turkey fully cooked? How do I reheat it? Yes! All items are fully cooked at the time of pick-up. Comprehensive reheating instructions are stapled to the bag for each component of your meal.

I have food allergies; are you able to accommodate? Yes! To the right is a list of items that can be prepared gluten-fee, nut-free and vegetarian. Please list your allergy requirements in the “Comments” section to ensure that your items are cooked and packaged accordingly. See list at right.

Can I make changes to my Thanksgiving Carry-Out order after I submit the online form?

Gluten-Free Turkey Mashed Potatoes Gravy (Prepared with Corn Starch) Green Beans Squash Medley Salad Greens Balsamic and Ranch Dressings Cranberry Sauce

Contact Jennifer Turowski, by Thursday, November 20, to do so. DO NOT submit an Nut-Free

additional order form, as it could result in an incorrect order.

Can I pick-up my order before Thanksgiving Day? Yes! Please list any special pick-up requests in the “Comments” section of the online order form. A manager will contact you to confirm this request.

Mashed Potatoes Turkey Gravy Sausage Sage Dressing

Do I need to bring anything with me to pick up my order? No. Everything is packaged for easy transportation. Please pull up in front of the Clubhouse and ensure that space has been cleared in your vehicle for your order.
