From the desk at T Bar Welcome to the new era of the livestock industry, the breed of popular choice and the Autumn Angus Classic. Although Mother Nature has tried to wash out some of the tracks throughout the nation, she cannot derail the runaway train developing in the beef cattle business. Even though grain prices are at all-time highs and the loon being stronger than the once mighty eagle, the simple solution of supply/demand economics has taken over and will control this train for the next decade. This selected offering of Angus seedstock is packed full of opportunity. Those who participated in 2010 found added value by the quality of cattle and added profit through a rising market. The breeders who have put their best foot forward to be a part of the Autumn Angus Classic are both seasoned veterans and some of the young rising breeders in the Angus breed. To most this is their annual production sale, offering the best of their programs. The genetics and phenotypes are diverse and suitable for any program or budget. Ontario hosts the 2012 National Junior Angus Show “Showdown” in Lindsay, next July. Juniors, you have an opportunity to sort through the lineup of heifer calves, select a contender and “kick a little butt” in Ontario. For juniors from afar, consider selecting a prospect that could remain in the province to enable you to be a part of the “Showdown Event.” (In such cases, contact the consignors individually.) Autumn Angus Classic is a “must attend event” in the fall sale season. The offering is strong; the breeders are right and the timing could not be better. Whether you are looking to attend the shows or looking for foundation seedstock, the first Saturday in September is packed full of opportunities for the future…a future that has never looked so good! Deep, fancy, angular, up headed kind of heifer. When Dave and I were going through the calves this heifer caught his eye first. Did not want to part with her at first but, he twisted my arm. Her mother comes from Eric Rincker’s herd in Sutherland. She is an easy keeper and puts everything into her calf. Her sire 10W is a Bismarck son which has left us with some really ice calves this past spring. He is definitely helping us breed strong maternal cows.

The terms of the sale are cash or cheque, payable at par at the sale location. The right of property shall not pass until after settlement has been made; no invoicing on buyers in attendance unless previous arrangements have been made. Every animal sells to the highest bidder and in cases of disputes, the auctioneer’s decision will be final. Announcements from the auction block will take precedence over the printed matter in the catalogue. Current exchange rates will be announced sale day. All monies are in Canadian funds.
CERTIFICATE OF REGISTRATION:
Each animal will carry papers issued by the Canadian Angus Association unless otherwise stated. A certificate of registry duly transferred will be furnished to the buyer for each animal after payment has been made.
