“Front Pasture” is how we would describe this outstanding Avery daughter. A donor cow for the ranch and former show heifer, she exemplifies the V8 style of females known for power and look. The Avery females are consistently highly productive, fertile, high embryo producers that make great cows. This past year 17/7 was flushed twice to Mr. V8 380/6 and produced 13 grade 1 embryos. On the bottom side, you’ll find the famous +Miss V8 933/5, who is a signature V8 female that has been one of our top donors in the past 10 years. She has had two daughters sell in back to back Houston International Sales for $20,000 and $50,000 respectfully. We have 7 daughters in the herd. She has sons working as herd sires for Fat Dog Ranch, Gary Baker, Stanley Knight and a full brother for Jeff Schroeder. 933/5 is a Powerstroke daughter who has been featured in our V8 advertisements time and time again. She is dark pigmented, feminine, level topped, and heavy muscled and traces to the legendary V8/Dickens donor +Miss V8 4/5, a Suva daughter . This pedigree will make your mouth water…it’s a great blend of new and old genetics: Avery, Liberty, Datapack, Powerstroke, Suva, and more! Miss V8 17/7 is simply beautiful. Level topped, long-bodied, extremely clean in her design, feminine, up-headed, great breed character, and a great udder. She sells bred to Mr. V8 675/6, one of our top young herd bulls, for an early spring 2013 calf. Only a 4 year old, Miss V8 17/7 is a donor cow extraordinaire who needs to go straight into your ET program and then a top Brahman breeder’s front pasture. We sold a full sister in last year’s Power of Production Internet sale to Beto Salinas that was bred to Mr. V8 380/6. Ask Beto how he likes the full sister and how her calf turned out. Remember we are selling 5 units on 380/6 in this sale.

If you’re looking for a donor female who is deep bodied, heavy muscled, dark pigmented, and has a great pedigree, this is the female. Miss V8 601/6 is a red-tinged, black tipped Superstroke daughter out of +Miss V8 653/5 (dam of “The Rock”). This makes her a maternal half-sib to Mr. V8 846/5 “The Rock”, who is a Register of Renown herd sire for V8 and Bulls Eye Ranch and past International Champion bull. Her maternal grandam, +Miss V8 983/3, is also the dam of Mr. V8 815/5, “Tommy Bahama” owned with Roberto Canahuati family and Windy Hill Ranch. This cow, Miss V8 601/6 packs as much maternal power as any line of females on the ranch with both the dam and grandam producing prize winning herd bulls for V8. Also a proven donor for the ranch, she is a model cow who should be flushed. We flushed her once in 2008 to +Mr. V8 901/4 and produced 4 pregnancies. Her red tinge color also makes her a great candidate for both red and grey breeders. Think about how she would flush with some of the leading red bulls to add that power, depth, and V8 look! She sells bred to Mr. V8 675/6, one of our top young herd bulls, for a fall 2012 calf. She may calve by sale day, and if the buyer prefers we will calve her out here at V8. Mr. V8 815/5 “Tommy Bahama” From the same cow family as Lot 2

The 14/6 cow has 6 females in the herd with 3 of them being flushed. We sold one of her daughters in the 2008 World Brahman Congress Sale to David and Joy Deguara for $16,500.00 She has been a terrific flush cow for them. 14/6 has also produced a herd sire Mr. V8 885/6 owned by Nolan Russell, plus the Res. Champion heifer at the San Antonio Jr. Show, Miss V8 186/7 for the Tom Oden family. Both of these were littermates to 634/6. 634/6 stems from the same cow family as the Lot 1 female, both tracing back to the legendary +Miss V8 4/5 donor , a Suva daughter owned by V8 and Lazy D Farms. The 4/5 cow family is easily recognized by their feminine look yet powerful construction. They are long bodied, level hipped, and carry excellent breed character and pigment. These females are bred for production and fertility for generations. We flushed 634/6 in 2009 with + Mr. V8 901/4 and produced 5 pregnancies from the flush. This is a special lot, in which we are selling half-interest in this bred female. This half is owned by the Denny Migl family who recently moved his family to Colorado because of a job promotion. Denny played football as big old offensive lineman with Jim in college and purchased this heifer for a family show heifer project while he lived in Texas. Now living south of Denver, it gets a little cold for a Brahman. The new owner will be partners with V8 Ranch in all aspects of the female, or they have the option to double the price and buy 100% of the female outright. Miss V8 278/7 is a former show heifer sired by Mr. V8 960/5 out of the famous +JDH Lady Charity Manso 131/1 donor, making her a full sib to the 2009 Reserve International Champion Female Miss V8 858/6. Lady Charity also is the mother Mr. V8 532/6 who was also an anchor of our show string from 2009 to 2010 and is now a herd sire for the Spiegal family of Panama. What is really interesting about the JDH Lady Charity 131/1 cow is her dam, JDH Lady Ren S. Manso 707, is also the dam of the legendary +JDH Karu Manso 800!!! As for as we know this is the only daughter of 800’s dam ever sold by Bubba Hudgins. All of the cattle from this mating carry the same outstanding traits of great bloodlines, length of body, and great dispositions. Where we feel that they excel is their muscle pattern and expression combined with their eye appeal. 278 is a very thick female, yet she is clearly very upheaded, feminine, clean underlined, and has the look that V8 continues to stamp on their females. She is a large framed, front pasture kind of bred heifer. She sells bred to Mr. V8 675/6 for a early spring 2013 calf, and we think she has unlimited potential as a donor female and breeding cow in any herd. We would like to remain partners on this great female but are offering the option for the new buyer to either be our partner or double the bid and purchase the female outright.

Another outstanding Karu daughter out of the legendary +Miss V8 80/5 cow. This is the last calf born on V8 out of this great donor cow who was sired by +JDH Charley Manso 590/6 and out of the highest earning cow ever at V8: +Miss Claydesta 203 -807U5. Her growth EPD’s are off the charts. Here is your chance to own one of the last daughters ever produced out of this immortal donor on the ranch. We could write 2 pages of footnotes on this heifer’s ancestors. Here are a few +JDH Karu Manso 800 - Sire of Lot 5 bullet points on +Miss V8 80/5: •Produced 81 offspring for V8 plus many more for Satterfield Ranch. •Produced 11 donor females for V8 plus many more for Satterfield Ranch •Successfully flushed conventially (not IVF) until 15 years of age. •Sons working as herd sires in 8 countries. •Sold over $350,000 in progeny and breeding interests •6 International Champion females trace back to 80/5 This is just a brief summary of the dam. To truly describe the merits of Bubba’s Karu bull would take more pages than this catalog has space. This is just an idea about how well bred this last remaining calf of 80/5 is. The secret to success as a purebred livestock breeder is to have cow power and great maternal families. This young bred 3 year old can jumpstart any program. She has a lifetime of production ahead of her. V8 retains 1 flush at a later date.

Great genetics in a young potential donor with the world at her feet. Miss V8 955/6 is a daughter of the Double A herd sire Mr. V8 114/6 and out of the famous Double A / V8 donor +Miss V8 38/6 “Star”. 38/6 is a Superstroke daughter and one of the most famous junior show heifers exhibited by the Acevedo family. She won championships +Mr. V8 777/4 at nearly every major show in Texas, including many wins at open shows including +Mr. V8 287/5 division championships at the National and International Open Shows. In fact, +Miss V8 611/4 D she won so many shows for the Acevedo’s that Barry Smith often joked that Danny A +MISS V8 38/6 let her sleep in his house between he and Jana instead of the barn. 38/6 was near M (+)JDH Mr. Charley Manso 590/6 perfect in her phenotype, yet was a small egg producer and therefore her daughters +Miss V8 73/5 are like gold around V8 and Double A. We love them for their deep bodies, clean +Miss V8 165/4 underlines, and feminine look. If you recall the 38/6 female was a dark blue color, and her offspring also typically carry the blue pigment and black tipped ears. This young cow features some of the all time great cows from V8 - +495/5 “Rose”, +38/6, +73/5, +165/4, +910/4, +653/5, +983/3 and +611/4. Many of these great cows have been past International Champions and have more importantly produced International Champions. We have 2 full sisters, Miss V8 829/6 and Miss V8 833/6 pictured on our website as donors. We have also flushed another full sister, Miss V8 946/6 this summer. The 38/6 cow has 5 donor daughters in the herd. With this cow’s dark red pigment and black tips she should definitely produce red colored calves when mated to Red Brahman genetics. She sells bred to Mr. V8 675/6 for an early spring 2013 calf. +Miss V8 38/6 Dam of Lot 6

Here’s an awesome pair featuring a Superstroke daughter who sells exposed to +Mr. V8 380/6 with a polled heifer calf at side. This cow is extremely long bodied, level and extended in her hip, and has a feminine, productive look. She is thick from end to end. Superstroke daughters are known throughout the world for their power. This female exemplifies that. On the dam side, her pedigree contains a heavy dose of the Claydesta 807U5 blood, which is considered like gold here at V8. See footnotes on Lot 5, Miss V8 167/5 for details on 807U5. 368’s dam is a Register of Renown donor who produced the Mr. V8 697/5 herd bull for Watson Land and Cattle, show heifers for the Richards, Harangs, Rogers, and Cook families. This cow family is like a well-oiled machine in terms of producing consistently high quality cattle. Her polled heifer calf at side sired by Mr. V8 51/6 born 4/28/12 is one of our top April heifers and is just an added bonus. That, combined with her pasture exposure to 380 makes this lot an excellent attraction. She was flushed once in 2007 and produced 15 grade 1 eggs. She has produced 6 offspring through ET and we still will retain some of her eggs here at V8. This fall we have more pregnancies coming sired by Lot 7 sells with a polled heifer calf at side by Avery. This is a good solid productive cow. +Mr. V8 380/6!

A young Superstroke daughter out of the Vanguard cow $Miss V8 910/4. While this cow looks thin in the picture, she has done a phenomenal job raising this high performing heifer calf at side born 3/12/12, sired by Mr. V8 203/6. This female is a full sister to the 2005 International Champion Female, +Miss V8 228/6. 228 is one of our top donors on the ranch who most recently produced the 2012 International Champion Female and 2011 Reserve International Champion Female for Adrian Land, Miss V8 137/7. You’ll notice the $ sign in front of 910’s name. This is the symbol for the Vanguard award, meaning a cow that is both Register of Renown and Maternal Merit. In the entire ABBA, there are only 13 Vanguard cows. This award is quite possibly the highest award a female can earn in the ABBA. Here is your opportunity to own a direct daughter of this legendary cow. Very few people in the breed can showcase the $ symbol on the pedigrees of cattle in their herd. Another attraction on this lot is that she sells safe in calf to JDH Cannon Manso 69/4 for an early spring 2013 calf. Cannon is our new young herd sire that we purchased last year. He is an extremely deep bodied Josiah Manso son that we are expecting great things from. Another daughter from this cow family is +Miss V8 606/5, who produced the Acevedo’s +Miss V8 143/6 and 144/6 International Champion and Reserve cows. In total, this cow family has generated hundreds of thousands of dollars of high sellers throughout the Brahman world. This cow family has been one of the staples of success at V8 Ranch for the past 20 years. 486/6 is also a full sister to Horsegate’s herd sire Mr. V8 269/6. Sells exposed back to +Mr. V8 380/6.

CHOICE POLLED LOT
Interest in polled Brahman genetic is at an all time high, and V8 Ranch has been consistently focusing on an elite polled program over the past 10 years. Very rarely do we sell our polled genetics. However, over the past year we have been very appreciative of the demand for our polled cattle, and thus we decided to offer unique polled lot / package. In this lot, the buyer will be buying his choice / pick of our four polled heifer calves born late March through early May 2012. Also, if the buyer would like, he may also choose to take 2, 3, or all four of the females by multiplying the final sale price by the number of heifers they wish to take home. All of these heifers are sired by our heavy muscled, scurred breeding machine Mr. V8 51/6. He is a + 901/4 son out of the worldfamous +Miss V8 98/6 who is the matriarch of our polled program. This polled pedigree represents the leading polled bloodlines at V8 and in some people’s minds the entire world. At V8 and throughout the Brahman world, many breeders have found the polled cattle to be extremely marketable and highly demanded. As polled popularity continues to grow, this lot is perfect for any breeder wishing to add the highly sought after V8 polled genetics to their existing polled program…or jump right in and start your own polled program with four great foundation females. Buyer must make their selection immediately after the sale closes so we can contact contending bidders to see what their options would be.

This female is our only open replacement female in the sale, and she is one that will make an excellent breeding female for any Brahman breeder. Her sire is our popular scurred herd bull Mr. V8 51/6. This bull is an outstanding + 901/4 son out of the legendary polled donor +Miss V8 98/6. The cow family represented in this pedigree focuses around the Miss V8 827/4 bloodlines, a Register of Renown donor who produced the 2002 International Champion Bull Mr. V8 612/5. 624’s dam is also a full sister to the popular donor Miss V8 805/6, Miss V8 952/6 and the Australian herd bull for the Deguara Family: Mr. V8 473/6. When you look at this female she is extremely stylish and very feminine. She has a very thick top, long bodied, and is very eye appealing. She is very balanced in her makeup and moves free and easy with a solid structural makeup. This heifer is the example of what most people have in their minds when they think of the signature V8 style…meaning she is a very correct female with a lot of muscle , mass, and breed character yet still has eye appeal and a very feminine look. Although horned, she carries the polled gene and could sure work in a polled program. She is loaded with eye appeal.

We are offering 5 units of semen, and 5 certificates. If the buyer needs additional certificates, they can be purchased for $250 each. What can you write to accurately describe the unbelievable impact this young sire has made at V8. One of the youngest bull to ever enter the Register of Renown. The sire of more champions at V8 Ranch than any other bull in the past 5 years. Siring champion at the U.S. International, Venezuelan +Mr. V8 777/4 National, and Honduras National show in 2012. Quite simply this bull is it. He has +Mr. V8 287/5 everything that the Brahman breed so badly needs right now: performance, extreme +Miss V8 611/4 D muscle, eye appeal, outstanding carcass merit, and perfect in his feet and legs. Five years A MISS V8 170/6 ago we began saying that 380 was going to be the next great sire at V8, and he has made M (=)JDH Resoto Ailanti that prediction come true. This bull fixes structure problems. This bull adds performance +Miss V8 567/3 Lady Capo of USSA 27 and muscle to plainer, smaller made, compact cows that need more growth and eye appeal. 380 is just a sheer beef machine, solid mass and simply overwhelming and totally balanced in his phenotype. Yet, he moves like a cat…and that is probably the combination that sets him apart from other bulls. 380 sires champions. From his first calf crop in 2009 to present, he has sired division champions and class winners at the 2009, 2010, and 2011 National Brahman Shows and the 2010, 2011 and 2012 International Brahman Shows. His progeny have won repeated get-ofsire championships at all levels. This year he sired national show winners in Venezuela and Honduras. He is the sire of the most cattle in the V8 showbarn over any other sire. He has so many championship progeny and high sellers, we just can’t list them here, but you can see them all at v8ranch.com, especially on our show cattle page, where the 380 offspring dominate. We have always offered semen on 380 internationally, and these sales have sky-rocketed over the past 6 months after international friends saw him and his offspring at the ranch. He is easily the top selling semen sire at V8 Ranch over the past 2 years. Only on 2 occasions, both privately and to very dear friends and loyal customers, have we sold semen domestically. This will most definitely be the only public offering of this semen in 2012, and possibly in future years as well. This is the best of the best from V8 Ranch. This semen is genetic gold that should be used to AI or flush your best possible cows.

Selling 5 units of semen, with the option to double the price and take 10 units. Superstroke needs no footnotes. No other bull’s influence has dominated the U.S. National and International Shows as much as him from 2000 to 2010. He is an undefeated International Champion Get-of-Sire winner at Houston for 5 years in a row. Superstroke is a powerful blend of 10 Register of Renown ancestors, 2 International Champions, and a National Champion, as well as a lot of U.S. Sugar breeding. To list his most notable offspring would take pages, however he is known for siring high power, performance oriented cattle with the signature V8 look. Some of his top offspring include the International Champion Mr. V8 960/5, the National Champion Mr. V8 924/5, the International Champion bull Tomcat, Tommy Bahama, and many powerful donor females for V8 Ranch. Superstroke semen is not traditionally offered in the United States, and this will be the only domestic offering of the semen in 2012. He has had an impact on hundreds of herds worldwide including nearly 700 offspring recorded in the ABBA. In 2011, Superstroke ranked #17 in the ABBA Register of Renown and ranked 20th on the list of most widely-used Brahman sires of all time. In the past 2 sales this semen has commanded over $1000/straw price

Selling 5 units of semen, with the option to double the price and take 10 units. There could be volumes written about the contributions Powerstroke has made to the Brahman breed worldwide. Obviously, he will undoubtedly go down in history for being the sire of Superstroke, the greatest Brahman sire at V8 of the last 20 years. However, the impact of this bull goes much deeper than just being the sire of Superstroke. A quick study of his offspring and you will find that he has sired 8 different Register of Renown progeny by four different herds: V8, Carolyn Falgout, Sam Duplantis, and Scott Satterfield. Powerstroke is the sire of National and International Champions. He has generated millions of dollars in semen and progeny sales worldwide. Powerstroke’s cow family is one of the all time greats ever found at V8 Ranch. His dam is the phenomenal +Miss V8 666/3 cow, a Res. National Champion and direct daughter of the #1 cow in the ABBA Register of Renown, +Miss V8 617/3. Great sires like Powerstroke are one that never lose their value, and in most cases, increase their value over time. Powerstroke is semen that every Brahman breeder needs in their tank.

Due to the limited nature of this semen we are only offering 5 units and are not offering the option to double the money for 10 units. An extremely rare opportunity to purchase Avery genetics, which are in extremely limited availability. As most Brahman breeders know, one of our top female producing herd sires, +JDH Sir Avery Manso passed away in 2011. At that time, we identified Mr. V8 620/6 as the leading Avery son in which we would focus on to continue this line of cattle. 620/6 also passed away in 2012, shortly after his first breeding season. Fortunately we had collected 620/6 immediately after he completed his show career and this initial frozen semen inventory is all that remains of this legendary line of cattle that we are allowed to sell semen on. As with all of the semen in our sale, this will be the only public offering of semen on Mr. V8 620/6 in the United States in 2012. As you reflect back on the show seasons from 2009 to 2001, 620 is a bull that stands out in many minds. 620 won numerous class and division championships and he and his full sister, Miss V8 954/6, were virtually unbeatable in the ET Produce of Dam class. His full sister was the 2009 International Champion Female and 2010 Show Heifer of the Year. 620’s dam is the former National Champion Female, +JDH Marri Holly Manso 50/6 who was purchased from J.D. Hudgins by Watson Land & Cattle. 620 is a bull who is extremely long bodied, strong topped, and one that we expect to produce great females just like his sire.

Again, the extremely limited quantities are why we are only offering 5 units on this bull and will not be able to double and take 10. Mr. V8 915/5 is a picture perfect American Brahman bull. He exemplifies masculinity, breed character, muscle and performance. This bull, also deceased, is a bull that has been completely off the market for the past 5 years, because we had less than 10 units of semen available on the bull. He is a bull that every semen buyer asks about, but unfortunately the semen was so rare, we would never sell it. A few weeks ago, Luann found a stash of semen on the bull that offered us not a lot, but a few more units of semen on the bull. When you look at 915/5, you can’t help but be amazed by the sheer power and muscle of this bull. This is what Brahman bulls are all about. Extremely thick, heavy muscled, big boned, thick topped, masculine, huge hump, and great pigment. He ranks in the top 1% of the breed for both weaning weight and yearling weight. 915 is a leading Superstroke son and full brother to the National Champion Mr. V8 924/5. This pedigree boasts Superstroke on the top side with a Register of Renown JDH Karu daughter on the bottom side. Mr. V8 915/5 was shown once at the 2003 National Show in Gonzales, LA, under Judge Alex Dees, where he was 1st in class and his flush mate Mr. V8 924/5 was 2nd. Later that afternoon, the full brothers won the National Champion ET Produce of Dam. 915/5 injured his right knee on the way to the 2003 Dallas show later that fall and was never shown again. Ironically, Mr. V8 924/6 went on to become a National Champion and Reserve International Champion. However, we kept 915 at the ranch for our own breeding, and we love the muscle, thickness, and look that this bull carries.
