Dear friends, Miami-Dade County will host the “2011 Miami International Agriculture and Cattle Show” on March 18-20, 2011 at the Ronald Regan Equestrian Center at Tropical Park. More than 50,000 people attended the event last year at the Ronald Reagan Equestrian Center at Tropical Park. The show attracted visitors from 22 countries including Russia, Argentina, Brazil, Panama and Colombia. The show featured premium show cattle from Florida, Texas, Georgia, Oklahoma, Arizona, Alabama, Arkansas, North Carolina, Missouri, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Tennessee, followed by a live auction Sen. Javier Souto simulcast internationally via the internet. This will be the third year that the Miami International Agriculture & Cattle Show will be sanctioned Miami-Dade County by the American Brahman Breeders Association as a point show, which demonstrates the growing prominence of this show nationally and Commissioner, internationally in only the fourth year since its inception. District 10 I am proud to announce that the 2011 event will include the Homestead Plant Exhibition (HPX) 2011. The Miami International Agriculture and Cattle Show is partnering with the HPX supported by the Miami-Dade Chapter of the Florida Nursery and Landscape Growers Association (FNGLA) to feature plant nursery trade exhibits and vendors, continuing education classes along with a business-to-business, wholesale and retail component. The four-day event will attract agri-business interests from Latin America, the Caribbean, Europe, Asia and Australia along with businessman and visitors from throughout the United States. Vendors and exhibitors from last year’s event reported significant sales directly resulting from contacts made at the event as well as the development of new business relationships. International newspapers and web sites from Spain, Brazil, Argentina, Colombia, Mexico, Panama, El Salvador, Ecuador, Paraguay and many other nations, as well as our national press, praised the success of the Miami show. The Associated Press story about “Cows on the catwalk in Miami for agriculture show” was carried by USA Today.com, MSNBC, CNBC, Forbes, ABC News, CBS News, and major dailies such as The Washington Post, San Francisco Chronicle, Chicago Tribune. com, Star-Telegram.com (Dallas-Ft. Worth), the International Herald Tribune—the global edition of the New York Times—and even The Journal of Turkish Weekly based in Ankara, Turkey. Media sponsor Univision Radio also heavily promoted the event throughout the Miami market. Miami has now become the international conversation circuit for cattlemen and has emerged as world known figure for the Agricultural and Cattle exhibitions. Sale Terms & Conditions
BIDDING: Each lot, on which there are two or more bids, will be sold to the highest bidder. TERMS: All cattle/genetics must be paid for immediately after the sale. Checks should be made payable to Moreno Firms, Inc. or Miami International Agriculture & Cattle Show (MIACS). Cattle/genetics will not be released until proper settlement has been made. SPECIAL TERMS: (cattle/genetics for export) Lots and genetics that are sold for export must be paid for at the time of the sale. There will be a representative of a forwarding company on hand to assist in this matter. It will be the responsibility of the buyer of these cattle/genetics for export to make arrangements with the seller for the care of the lots or genetics after the sale. Buyers will be responsible for any layover costs following the sale. DISPUTES: The auctioneer in charge will settle any bid disputes. The decision of the auctioneer on such matters is final. FLUSHES: Each flush auctioned has a guaranteed minimum of five transferable embryos, unless otherwise noted. Buyer will receive all additional embryos of the flush, should there be any. Buyer pays for flushing costs, as well as any flush related expenses. HANDLING: As the sale takes effect, all lots are under the buyer’s risk. BREEDERS GUARANTEE: Every lot in this sale is, to the best of the seller’s knowledge, sound and free of any disease. Pregnant cows are considered breeders without further guarantee. HEALTH: All necessary health papers will be provided for the purposes of shipping cattle and genetics anywhere. NOTE: Cattle/genetics sold for export to foreign countries must, by state law test for diseases flagged by the country receiving the animal after the sale is made. The seller will be responsible for this testing. Sellers must realize that foreign transactions will take longer to clear due to letters of credit, etc. ANNOUNCEMENTS: Any announcements from the auction block will take precedence over the printed material, this catalog and all other printed advertisements. LIABILITIES: All persons who attend the sale do so at their own risk. Miami-Dade County, Moreno Firms, Inc. and the MIACS, including the sale manager, assume no liability, legal or otherwise, for any accidents that may occur. MIACS accepts no liability for the lots after they are sold. Insurance will be available at the sale for cattle/genetics upon the buyer’s request. CONTRACT: The above terms and conditions shall constitute a contract between the buyer and the seller of each lot sold. TRANSPORTATION: It is the responsibility of the buyer to make all shipping and transportation arrangements.
