RULES AND SALE INFORMATION 1. Terms of Sale: Only personlized bank cheques will be accepted. Immediately after your purchases are completed, settlement and shipping instructons will be taken in the office. Information on delivery schedules, livestock insurance and rates will also be available. All monies are in Canadian funds. Canadaian export costs are to the account of the seller. USA brokerage and border costs are to the account of the buyer. 2. Sale Order: Bulls will be sold in the order of the catalogue, with the following exceptions; The Grand Champion Bull and Reserve Grand Champion Bull will be sold at the beginning of each breed. The Division Champions and Reserve Division Champions (Senior to Junior) may follow at the consignor’s option. Each consignor has the right to rearrange the bulls in his own sale group. All bulls must be returned to their original stall by the consignor and left there until settlement has been made. Consignors must feed and care for animals until the evening of the last day of which they are sold. 3. Settlement: All purchases must be settled for within one hour of the sale of the animal. If any purchaser fails to settle for his or her purchase as stated, the Regina Bull Sale committee reserves full power to resell the animal to the best advantage either publicly or privately, without further information and any loss arising from such resale, together with the keep and all expenses, will be collected from the defaulter. 4. Risk: Each animal becomes exclusively the risk of the purchaser as soon as it is sold. Until a settlement is made in the terms of these conditions, the delivery of the animal shall be supsended. 5. Pedigrees: Ear tatoos and identification of all stock consigned to the Regina Bull Sale have been checked and compared with the registration papers for your protection. The registration certificates will be transferred to your name on the records of the appropiate Canadian Breed Association, and the transferred registration papers forwarded to you by mail. 6. Errors: In the case of an error in the catalogue, the Auctioneer or Blockman shall announce corrections at the time of sale. Such corrections will take precedence over the printed matter in the catalogue. Buyers are cautioned to pay close attention to such announcements. 7. Mail or Telephone Bids: The sale corridinator is prepared to arrange the purchase of bulls for persons unable to attend this sale personally. Bids must be received in sufficient time prior to the sale. 8. Bidding: In cases of dipsutes, bidding will be re-opened between the parties involved. If no further bid is made, the buyer will be the person from whom the auctioneer accepted the last bid. The auctioneer’s decision in such matters is final. 9. All bulls have a valid semen certificate done within 30 days of the sale. Every animal meets breed standards for scrotal size set by their Breed Association. Every effort has been made to assure that the sale bulls have satisfactory breeding potential. 10. Breeding Guarantee: Should a bull in natural service conditions, in the opinion of the buyer, be a non-breeder, the buyer should contact the consignor directly. If a satisfactory adjustment cannot be aggreed upon, the buyer shall report the same in writing to the secretary of the Regina Bull Sale committee between two and six months from the date of sale. The buyer shall then complete a statutory declaration supplied by the committee. The buyer may be required to retain the bull for up to six months. After this period, the consignor shall have the option of testing the animal for up to four months on his own premises. If the animal then proves to be a non-breeder, the consignor shall refund the purchase price or supply a bull of approximate age, quality and breeding, and the non-breeder will be returned to the consignor. The consignor is not responible for injury, infection, or sickness which was not apparent at the time of sale, or for improper care and feeding by the buyer. No guarantee is given that the semen collected from the bull will freeze. (In case of dispute a vetrinarians certificate will be required to be supplied by the buyer.) In either case the buyer is responsible for all transportation charges incurred. No incedental expenses such as feed, care, etc. will be charged by either party while completeing settlement. This guarantee is not in effect if other insurance is in effect at the time. This breeding guarantee is in effect on the North American continent only. 11. It is to be clearly understood that the Regina Bull Sale Committee and/or sale coordinator are acting as a medium between buyer and consignor and are not in any way responsible for any failure on the part of either party to live up to his or her obligations. Neither does the Regina Bull Sale Committee or sale coordinator assume any financial obligations to collect or inforce collection of any moneys between parties. Any legal action that may be taken, must be between the consignor and buyer themselves. In all cases the influence of the Regina Bull Sale will be exerted, as far as possible, to hold all parties strictly to these regulations. 12. Powers of Executive Committee: The executive committee of the Regina Bull Sale shall have the power to cancel the sale of any animal before delivery, provided such course is in its opinion fair and just, both to buyer and consignor. The treasurer will have power to give receipt in full for any payments on stock and will remit the amount realized, less the proper charges for each animal on collected accounts, to the consignor within four weeks after the date of the sale. 13. Centralized/Gauranteed Delivery is available at a cost of $75.00 per bull (up to 500 km within Canada). Maximum cost per buyer is $300.00. Other destinations will be arranged by the committee and charged at cost to the buyer. All risk is assumed by the buyer. Delivery will be at the Regina Bull Sale’s convenience, but will be as soon as practical after the sale. 14. Accidents: Although every precaution will be taken to protect the safety and comfort of buyers, neither the Regina Bull Sale committee, sale coordinator or staff assume any responsibilty in this matter and disclaim any liability, legal or otherwise, in the event of accidents or loss of property.

Reasons to Choose a

Solar West Watering System

Healthier Livestock

By keeping cattle out of open water sources you reduce the contaminants in the water that cause illness and disease. With livestock out of the water you also eliminate the risk of foot rot.

Reduced Operating Costs

Healthier animals means lower vet bills and medication costs. A watering system can be a lower cost option for watering livestock in remote areas even through the winter.

Increased Gains

Studies have shown that when livestock have cleaner water to drink they will drink more of it. When they drink more water they will consume more feed leading to greater gains in your herd.

Saves You Time

Solar West systems come complete for easy setup. Once the installation is complete there is no additional work to be done. Now you can spend less time watering your cattle and more time on the chores that matter most.

Peace Of Mind

A watering system means you don’t have to worry about cattle accidently drowning or deteriorating banks of dugouts, and your livestock will have access to clean water all year long.

Positive Impact on the Environment

Many governments and watershed authorities are looking at bylaws that would restrict direct access watering for cattle into open water sources. You can preserve that lake, stream or dugout by setting up an alternative watering system. You can further reduce your impact on the environment by using a solar powered system

Stout is true to his name. His true width and muscle shape is impressive. This bull was in our show string. He was awarded Grand Champion Bull in 2011 at the Creelman summer show, in 2012 he was named Reserve Champion at Beef a Rama and placed third at Agribition. His sire was named Supreme Champion bull at Agribition. His dam was Grand Champion at the National Hereford Show in Edmonton. Stout exhibits a very dark colour and some heavy pigment. He also has a great disposition, as a calf he was shown by a 12 year old girl.

EASY CALVING, QUALITY, PROVEN GENETICS, you’ve seen it year after year for YOU: the purebred or the commercial breeder. DKF bulls are fed to grow, NOT melt, on 1% of their body weight from weaning to sale time, using WIT Pellets and Puroxi. As seed stock producers, DKF is ALWAYS striving to improve our herd , so you can improve yours. This produces bulls that are and will consistantly sire easy calving, low birth weight calves with performance, good hair and sound feet and legs. This will produce for you those good looking, top dollar, heavy calves in the fall. Call, email or come see for yourself and go to www.dkfredangus.ca. We will gladly discuss which bull(s) will suit your program, working best with your females.
