The Six Mile breeding program has been focused on producing the very best Angus females, since our inception. We believe in the Angus mother cow and feel that they are the greatest strength of our breed. At Six Mile, females are always our focus, every lot offered in this sale has been bred to be an efficient, fertile, excellent uddered female with the capacity and natural muscling to do well on the range. Our goal is to keep the genetics of our herd strong and cutting edge, and it is very difficult to sell your very best in volume every year and still maintain a powerful cow herd that can achieve this goal. That is why we host a Female Production sale every second year – to be able to offer you our very top end genetics and still build our own herd at the same time. The Red Angus offering is packed with exclusive, high dollar, breed leading genetics. We have held nothing back and many of the females offered are right out of our show string for this fall – offering added promotion value. Note the outcross influence of the $19,000 service sire, Red Six Mile Intrigue 348X... what an opportunity to get in on the ground floor and expand your gene pool. Other service sires are pretty exciting too. This is the first time we have ever offered any Black Angus females for sale and they are exceptional. We have quietly been building our Black Angus herd and feel like it is ready to showcase. Again, nothing is held back! U.S Exchange / Travel:

U.S. Money will be accepted at the current rate of exchange sale day and will be posted prior to the sale. U.S. visitors require a valid passport to cross the border. The closest border crossing to the ranch (Montana into Saskatchewan) is the Port of Opheim and is located abut 25 miles south of the ranch. The ranch is located just over an hour Northwest of Glasgow, MT.

Payment Terms:

The terms of the sale are cash or check payable at par at the completion of the sale. If you purchased an animal as an absentee bidder, please make arrangements to mail a check or wire money within 48 hours of the sale. Sakic is the heart and soul of our herd and we very proud to have raised this impressive breeding bull. Sakic was purchased by GENEX as the high selling bull from our 2007 bull sale at $36,000 for a half interest. His dam raised him as only a two year old. She is a prolific dam that attracts all the attention on herd tours. Sakic has gone on to sire progeny in great demand such as the $37,500 son Utah to C- Bar, Wedel and Westphal in the U.S. Another son, Travelocity sold for $27,000 in our spring bull sale. A son named Grizzly was the high selling bull for Nordlunds in MN selling to ABS. His daughters have met and surpassed our expectations with ample milk production in an attractive package. The first time we saw Preference 9184 we were blown away. He had a style and presence that demanded our attention among a very strong set of bulls. Many others agreed with us so we purchased him later that week at a price tag of $70,000! His first calf crop is just about to be weaned and we can say he has done his job. Six Mile Red Angus is in the process of organizing a “cattle show camp”. Participants will be able to gain valuable knowledge about preparing an animal for show from start to finish from professionals with years of experience. Some topics will include feeding, washing, clipping, showmanship, judging and general show preparation and care. This show camp will be held sometime in May 2012 and it is offered free to any junior who has purchased an animal from Six Mile. 33

Guest Consignor - Breed Creek Angus Welcome to the “Focus On Females” 2011 sale. We would like to thank the Six Mile crew for inviting us to participate as guest consignors. As I write this, I am waiting at the hospital to pick up my wife, Suzanne and our new baby girl, Alexi Alice a sister to Eric and Luc. What an exciting event in our life. We are truly a family operation, no matter what age, we all enjoy every aspect of ranching. Our cow herd consists of 160 registered black cows and 60 registered red cows, along with 120 commercial red and black cows. Our cows are run in a no frills fashion where the cows are expected to work for us. Simply put, we are very busy and we don’t have time to baby sit and pamper our cattle; they have to work or they are gone. The four heifers that I have consigned to the sale are all heifers that I believe will go on and make excellent brood cows for their new owners. Every one of them come from proven cows and cow families that have worked extremely well for us in our environment. The Burgess cow family is the largest in our herd and this is not by luck; they simply work year after year. Whenever somebody tours our cow herd, they are always the first cows that get noticed. The Jenny’s may not be as many in numbers but they are definitely of top quality. You may notice a couple of preeminent sires in those heifer’s pedigrees, namely KR Topcut Quarterback 101H and GDAR Game Day 6284. The old Topcut bull was very influential in our herd and many daughters were kept. He bred naturally until 10 years of age; this bull had perfect feet and legs and was never lame a day in his life. The next bull GDAR Game Day 6284 was a gem of a find; he was an extremely easy keeping bull that passed on his natural fleshing ability to his offspring. This bull was lost prematurely to injury but we do have some semen in inventory an he definitely will be used again. Our top selling bull this spring was a Game Day son to Blost Angus, Houston, BC. He was named the Gold Show Grand Champion Bull at Vanderhoof a couple of weeks ago. All this after breeding cows all summer and only a mere couple weeks of feed. The service sires that these heifers are bred to are HF Hat Trick 170W and Six Mile Trade Mark 9X; they are two bulls that I am very excited about. Trade Mark 9X was the high selling Black Angus bull at Six Mile this spring. He combines two calving ease sires, Bismarck and Final Answer. All cattle sell under the standard Terms and Conditions set out by the Canadian Angus Associaion

Terms of settlement - The terms of the sale are cash or cheque payable at par. The right of property shall not pass until settlement is made. All settlements must be made with the clerks of the sale before any cattle will be released. Payment Terms can be arranged if arrangements are made with Clayton & Corinne prior to the sale.

Breeder’s Pregnancy Guarantee - We have had all the females pregnancy checked by a veterinarian. When you purchase these heifers you have 30 days from the sale to notify us of a problem with the pregnancy in the purchased female. At that time the consignor will work with you to rectify the situation to mutual satisfaction.

Bids & Disputes - Every animal entering the sale ring will be sold to the highest bidder. In case of disputes, bidding will be re-opened between the parties involved. If no further bid is made the buyer will be the person from whom the auctioneer accepted the last bid. The auctioneer’s decision in such matters will be final.

Liability - Although every precaution will be taken to protect the safety and comfort of buyers, the auctioneer or owners assume no responsibility in this matter and disclaim any liability, legal or otherwise, in the event of an accident or loss of property.

Purchaser’s Risk - Each animal becomes the risk of the purchaser as soon as sold. Animals will be cared for at the purchaser’s risk for a reasonable length of time. Certificate of Registry - A certificate of Canadian registry duly transferred will be furnished to the buyer of each animal sold as a Registered Animal after settlement is made.

Insurance - A representative from LIM will be available on sale day. We strongly urge purchasers to insure their new purchases as they become their responsibility as soon as they are sold. Delivery - We will help coordinate delivery to keep it as low as possible. U.S. Shipments - Six Mile will do all the health testing and export papers required for shipment. We will deliver the cattle across the border and assist in further chipping arrangements from there. Cost is the responsibly of the buyer from that point on.
