HIGH ALTITUDE FEMALE SALE
DECEMBER 2, 2023
1:00 pm (mt) • AT THE RANCH IN LA GARITA, CO
Welcome to the T-Heart Ranch High Altitude Female Sale. What a time to be in the beef business! All classes of cattle are reaching all-time highs, and with acceptable moisture over most of the country, the future is bright in the cattle business. We are excited to offer one of our largest assortments of females to date. The Colorado females have all been exposed to altitudes above 6,000 feet and most of the females have been raised and developed at elevations of greater than 8,000 feet. Our focus is to deliver cattle to customers who will excel at altitude and breed cattle who excel for maternal traits. Also, you will not find a program that is harder on udder quality, foot structure, and fleshing ability. We focus on MATERNAL at T-Heart Ranch and if the females will work in our environment, we are confident they will excel in your herd and raise offspring who will garner premiums at marketing time.
THE SHANE AND BETH TEMPLE FAMILY
New to this year’s offering will be our heifers out of the Oklahoma division of our growing ranch. We are excited about the future of that division and the potential to reach new customers. The program carries the same principles and focus on the maternal and structural traits which have allowed our Colorado ranch to flourish. All our females cataloged in the Oklahoma division are housed at our ranch near Pauls Valley.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE AS AN ABSENTEE BUYER
We have made preparations to bid and buy livestock through Superior Productions’“Call or Click-To-Bid” service for those unable to attend in person on sale day. Please note that all of the lots in the sale will also be available for viewing online prior to sale day at www.superiorlivestock.com. HERE’S HOW IT WORKS Turn in Bids Over the Phone. This is our traditional method of buying livestock and is the suggested process for anyone who does not have consistent, high-speed internet. To get started simply go online to www.superiorlivestock.com and click on the tab titled “Register for a Buyer Number”. Select the registration form for Superior Productions and print the registration form. Fill it out and fax it in to Superior Productions at (817) 378-3380 with a signature on it. You can also mail it in to the address provided on the form. Upon receipt of this information Superior will call you with a buyer’s number and the bid line phone number that you will use on sale day to place bids over the phone. CLICK-TO-BID This is Superior’s online bidding program for cattle buying. Please note that high speed internet is required – this is not for dial-up or satellite internet. Registration is free, but you must become a member of www.superiorclicktobid.com to sign up. Becoming a member is easy – just go to the homepage of www.superiorclicktobid.com and follow the out-lined steps to get started. Input your information and select a username and password. You will receive an e-mail confirming you are a member. From that point forward you just have to sign in and select the sale you would like to register for and once approved by the ranch you will receive an e-mail confirming which sale you are now registered for. VIEWING THE AUCTION The sale will be broadcast via satellite on SLA-TV (DISH Network channel 997). Please note that there is a delay if you are watching the auction on television so be sure to call in a couple lots ahead of the lot you are interested in bidding on. The sale will also be broadcast live in Hi-Definition on the internet at both www.superiorlivestock.com and www. superiorclicktobid.com. The video feed on the homepage of www.superiorlivestock.com looks the same as the video feed on TV and can be watched over a smartphone or tablet. Remember you can call in to bid whether watching on the TV or on the internet, but you must be a member of www.superiorclicktobid.com to “click-to-bid”.
Bidders who are successful in making purchases via satellite or internet will be contacted by the ranch after the sale to settle payment and make shipping arrangements.

Night Owl has established himself as one of the greats in our program. The Night Owl sons were our lead sire group in our 2023 bull sale and commanded the highest purchase price. The females are making a huge impact in our replacement pen and are off the charts for maternal. Genetically, he is a bullet proof heifer bull while being well above average for growth and carcass. He is the service sire of numerous lots in the offering and we are confident you will be thrilled with the progeny.

Field Land & Cattle has roots back to the end of the Civil War. The early generations raised registered Hereford cattle. Their seedstock enterprise continued through the 1950’s then evolved into primarily a commercial cow-calf business. When Tom Field graduated from Colorado State University, he returned to the ranch and introduced Angus genetics and planned crossbreeding systems. Eventually, SimAngus cattle became the standard. Our selection and breeding strategy has been built on generating heterosis via a simple crossbreeding system, disciplined focus on economically important traits with a desire to stabilize milk production and mature size in accordance with our ecosystem restraints, and a commitment to avoiding extremes. We have been relentless in culling for poor dispositions and structural defects. Cattle have been handled mostly horseback and on foot, and occasionally with four-wheelers.

Maternal Excellence
Brickyard is a proven heifer bull who displays strong phenotype with strong genetic predictors. When we were searching for a heifer bull, we wanted more than just calving ease and that is when we landed on Brickyard. He will sire low-birth weight calves who will explode with growth while being eye catching for phenotype.

TEMPLE RANCHES
TEMPLE RANCHES Pauls Valley, OK Raymond Temple 580-369-8004
Raymond and Mary Temple, along with their daughter Mary Ann, are the epitome of what can be achieved by hard work and perseverance. Ranching is not a hobby with the Temple family, it’s a way of life. Starting with Brangus influence years ago and infusing angus genetics has built a product that can withstand almost anything. They feel the right genetics are imperative to produce a product with low inputs and high returns. The right sire selection has helped achieve this goal not only in the pasture, but also in the feed yard. Retained ownership of their genetic lines for a number of years has played a major role in their success. They feel that without a good productive female, the bottom line really suffers. That is what has built their program, and what has worked for their customers time and time again. The females they offer are calf raisers, with just a touch of ear. All will calve next spring as true 2 -year-olds.
