Vice President Woodrow (Woody) Stephen Foster, Managing Director, Foster’s Food Fair IGA Woodrow (Woody) Stephen Foster, Mr. Woodrow Foster is the current Managing Director of Foster’s Food Fair IGA. Woody is also an integral member of the Board of Directors for the Foster Group, which includes companies such as Car City, Progressive Distributors Ltd. and Cico Avis Car Rental. Woody is also on the Board of Directors for Caribbean Utilities Company (CUC). Woodrow Foster, commonly called Woody, attended St. Ignatius Catholic Primary School and Triple C School in Grand Cayman, then moved on to Florida Air Academy and Louisiana State University, where he pursued studies in business. Woody returned to Grand Cayman in 1987 and began a full-time career in the grocery business at Foster’s Food Fair. Woody’s grocery experience began with the opening of Foster’s Food Fair in 1980, where he worked after school bagging groceries and stocking shelves. Since joining Foster’s Food Fair full time, Woody has worked his way through the company, gaining experience in all departments. Woody took leadership of Foster’s Food Fair, as its Managing Director, with the opening of its Strand store in 1997. Woody is married to Sabrina and has four children Julian, Josh, Syrena and Charli. Treasurer Colin Robinson, Director, Strategic Risk Solutions Colin joined SRS in 2009. He has nearly 15 years of experience in the insurance industry ranging from the captive to the commercial underwriting marketplace. Prior to joining SRS, he worked as a Senior Account Manager and Assistant Vice President with Marsh Management Services in the Cayman Islands. Colin works with single parent captives, and SPC’s and has dealt with clients in the healthcare, construction, and insurance industry as a captive manager. Started his career working in at Big Daddy's Liquor Stores in 1998 and quickly gained the knowledge and respect in the liquor business. He became manager 2 years later. Seeing the opportunity and the niche in the market he opened a Miro brewery in George Town called Hammerheads Brew Pub. During his


time at Hammerheads he kept his mind busy trying new avenues. Before he knew it a new brand of rum immured "Seven Fathom Rum" Cayman's first local rum launched in 2006. He quickly gained the respect of the rum industry. Seeing the opportunity and quick growth he decided to get out of the restaurant and brewing industry and focus on rum. Cayman Spirits Company was born. Nelson is a true entrepreneur growing his company beyond the Cayman Islands with international sales in US, Canada, UK and Europe. The success of the brand has been a gain for not only the business but the Cayman Islands as well. He has also recently open a new distillery in the US. He has been a part of local charities such as Miss Cayman, Crime Stoppers, Batabano Cayman, One Dog at a Time, Rotary to name a few. In his free time, he has also been a part of the Chamber mentoring programme and helped to start the Cayman Local Producers Association. Nelson wished to address the membership in regards to his nomination, and his personal message is as follows: "It would be an honour to represent your interests at the Chamber of Commerce, and the values we share in our areas. I am running for election to the Chamber Council because I care for our community and my priority is to fix our economy and get Cayman's businesses back to work. With your support, I look forward to serving you and moving the Cayman Islands' business community in the right direction." "I believe in delivering real results. I will work to create an environment that will continue to drive job creation and economic opportunities for hard-working Cayman businesses. Our economy is headed on the right path again. There is still much to do, but we must build on our recent successes to continue to deliver real results for our community." Ebanks, MBA, Chief Human Resources Officer, Cayman Islands Airports Authority Appointed in February 2012 as the Director of the Department Labour & Pensions in the Cayman Islands Government, he served in that capacity until August 2015, including Acting as the Superintendent of Pensions from December 2012. Mr. Ebanks previously served for 10 years as the Senior Consultant and Project Leader with Premier Solutions Group, and prior to that as the Senior Manager for Human Resources and Human Capital Consulting for Deloitte & Touche. He served previously in the Cayman Islands Government, in the Ministry of Community Development which was then responsible for Labour & Pensions, from 1994 to December 1997. In July 2015 he became the Chief Human Resources Officer of the Cayman Islands Airports Authority (CIAA).


A 1986 graduate of the School of Business Administration of the University of Miami, Mr. Ebanks holds a BBA degree in International Finance & Marketing, with a minor in Economics, where he was a BankAmerica scholar. He also attained a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Tennessee, Executive Master’s programme in 2002, where he was a Deloitte scholar. He is also a graduate of the University of North Carolina (Chapel Hill) and SHRM “Business of Human Resources” executive certification series, as well as a participant in the Disney’s Human Resource Management certificate programme. Mr. Ebanks also holds a Certificate in Global Remuneration Administration from the World @ Work Professional Society, and has also participated in the Ivy Leadership Programme, through the University of Western Ontario. He has over 25 years’ experience in the financial services industry, public and private sector administration, local industry and commerce, labour administration, & strategic Human Resources management. He has served in various capacities in both the private and public sectors, where he maintains extensive and high-level contacts. He is also a member of the American Management Association, the Society for Human Resource Management, the Employment Management Association, and the Global HR Forum. Locally he is a Past President of the Cayman Islands Society for Human Resource Professionals, and has been actively monitoring, advocating, and commenting on relevant Human Resource regulations and practices. He served as the Deputy Chairman of the Immigration Business Staffing Plan Board, and formally the Deputy Chairman of the Cayman Turtle Farm Board. He was also a Member of the Labour Appeals Tribunal, and the Investors in People Council. As a Rotarian since 1992, he served as President of the Rotary Club of Grand Cayman Central in 1998- 99, he is a Paul Harris Fellow, and served as District Director for Vocational Service during the term of Past District Governor RC (Bobby) Bodden. Mr. Ebanks and his wife Lovenia have attended 7 Rotary International Conventions, ranging from Singapore in the East to Buenos Aires Argentina in the South America. He has a wealth of exposure to corporate governance, having served as President of many organisations, including: The Overseas Students Association, the Rotary Club of Grand Cayman Central, Junior Achievement, and the C.I. Society for Human Resource Professionals. In addition to the above mentioned statutory bodies, previously he also served as a Member of the Education Council, a member of the Community College Board of Governors, and a Trustee of the International College of the Cayman Islands.

Janette Goodman, Human Resources Director, The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman Ms. Janette Goodman is the Human Resources Director for The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman, with responsibility for the strategic focus of HR initiatives for the resort and over 825 Ladies & Gentlemen. She is a partner to senior operating executives and General


Manager, providing critical HR leadership to build new ventures, revitalising nonperforming operations and delivers strong results. Prior to joining The Ritz-Carlton in 2008, she spent several years as an Executive in the Rooms Department as the Resident Manager for the JW Marriott Ihilani Resort and Spa, in Ko Olina, Oahu, Hawaii. In her role as the second in command she was responsible for directing daily operations in the rooms division for this 387 room, four diamond resort; notably (then) one of the top two resorts on the island of Oahu. Ms. Goodman spent 28years in Hospitality, 14 of those years in Human Resources management. Ms. Goodman's greatest strength is her leadership in complex HR organisations for startups, acquisitions and high-growth operations. She designed and led a 2-day “Welcome to Marriott” training for over 600 new employees following property acquisitions in Guam, Oahu and Maui. Merged two distinct business cultures into one integrated HR organisation that consistently surpassed all operating objectives. In 2012 and 2009, Ms. Goodman was recognised for her achievements in Human Resources Excellence, in 2005 recognised for Operational Excellence award, Asia Pacific and Australia regions. Recognised for orchestrating the design and implementation of a “Sense of Place” training, 1998, to educate the workforce on the historic significance of property location and Hawaiian culture to encourage guest engagement. Ms. Goodman currently serves as a Vice Chair for the Board of the Cayman Islands Crisis Centre and Board Member for Save Our Youth, and has served as President for the Kauai Chapter for the Society of Human Resources Professionals for two consecutive terms, served on the Executive Advisory Board for the Kauai United Way and the Executive Board of the School to Work Programmes. She holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree from the University of New Hampshire, Whittemore School of Economics in Hotel Management and is currently pursuing certification in Leadership Coaching.

Shomari Scott, Marketing Director, Health City Cayman Islands Shomari Scott is Marketing Director of Health City Cayman Islands, the vision of famed heart surgeon and humanitarian, Dr. Devi Shetty. Health City serves local, regional and international patients seeking treatment from world-class medical experts and provides access to affordable compassionate healthcare in a patient-centered environment. In this critical role, Mr. Scott designs and directs the marketing strategy of the Joint Commission International (JCI)-accredited facility. Prior to joining Health City, Mr. Scott worked with the Cayman Islands Department of Tourism for 18 years where he gained a deep understanding of the tourism sector. He began as an intern with the Department and rose through the ranks of the organization, eventually being appointed Director of Tourism.


Mr. Scott took the helm of the Department in 2008 during the global recession, and defied conventional wisdom to help grow tourism arrivals by 25 percent over the next four years. A strong believer in assessment, quality and continuous improvement, Shomari takes every opportunity to lead by example and to promote the personal and professional development of his team members. Mr. Scott is a keen sportsman and is passionate about basketball. He played on the Cayman Islands national team for 10 years and over the past seven years has coached both youth and men’s basketball in his free time. The influence of his father, a former director of the Bonaventure Boys’ Home, and his mother, a teacher, contributed to Shomari directing his involvement in basketball to give young people a positive focus, channeling energy into sports and other productive activities. In 2013, he was awarded the Young Caymanian Leadership Award, which recognises outstanding young Caymanians whose achievements and actions make a significant contribution to the islands’ society and who serve as positive role models for other youth. Shomari Scott earned a Bachelor of Business Administration, with a major in Marketing, from Stetson University in Florida.
