CAYMAN ISLANDS CHAMBER OF COMMERCE NOMINATIONS FOR 2021 COUNCIL Vice President Nelson Dilbert, Owner/Distiller, Cayman Spirits Company Nelson Dilbert is an entrepreneur. Started his career working at Big Daddy’s Liquor Stores in 1998 and quickly gained knowledge and respect in the liquor business. He became a manager two years later. Seeing the opportunity and the niches in the market he opened a Micro-Brewery in George Town called “Hammerheads Brew Pub”. He launched Cayman’s first locally made rum “Seven Fathoms” in 2006. Seeing the opportunity and quick growth he decided to get out of the restaurant and brewing industries and focus on rum. “Cayman Spirits Company” was born. Nelson is a true entrepreneur growing his company beyond the Cayman Islands with international sales in the US, Canada, UK, and Europe. The success of the brand has been a gain for not only the business but the Cayman Islands as well. Cayman Spirits Company has expanded in Cayman with 2 other locations called the “PSJ Outpost” located at Pedro’s Saint James and “GT Outpost” located in George Town. Currently, Nelson has also reopened the “Alexander Hotel in Cayman Brac.” He has contributed to local charities such as Miss Cayman pageant, Cayman Crime Stoppers, Batabano Cayman, One Dog at a time and Rotary to name a few. Nelson served on the Chamber Council from 2018 and 2019. “It would be a true honour to serve again for the Chamber of Commerce and share some of the values and ideas I have gained over the years. I am running for election to the Chamber Council because in the time of crises we need strong caring individuals in all areas of our economy represented. Tourism, is that sector that needs to be kick started.” Treasurer Colin Robinson, Director, Strategic Risk Solutions Colin Robinson is Director of Strategic Risk Solutions, having joined the SRS team in 2009. He has nearly 15 years of experience in the insurance industry, ranging from the captive to the commercial underwriting marketplace. Colin previously worked as a Senior Account Manager and Assistant Vice President with Marsh Management Services. He currently works with single parent captives and SPCs, and has dealt with clients in healthcare, construction, and more. Colin is the current President of the Insurance Managers of the Cayman Islands (IMAC).


CAYMAN ISLANDS CHAMBER OF COMMERCE NOMINATIONS FOR 2021 COUNCIL Secretary - Joanne Lawson, Chief of Staff, Dart As Chief of Staff at Dart, Joanne supports the CEO with the coordination of short- and medium-term strategic planning aligned with Dart's purpose, values and vision of sustainable growth in the Cayman Islands. Joanne leads enterprise-wide projects and oversight of several organisational functions including human resources, legal, marketing and communications. With a diploma in hospitality management and an MSc in Human Resource Management, Joanne's professional experience includes hospitality, property management, human resource management and business operations. Entrepreneurial, results oriented and pragmatic, she is committed to teamwork and organizational development. Passionate about family, fitness and supporting the local community, Joanne is a Rotarian ‘on leave’, a former director of Big Brothers Big Sisters and in her school days, a member of The Key Club.

Councillor (3 positions) John Corallo, General Manager, Home Gas I grew up in Windsor Locks, Connecticut in the United States as a first generation American. My Father Paul was from a small village in Northern Italy and moved to the US in 1950 and my Mother Ingrid immigrated from southern Norway in 1957. I went to Suffield Academy Prep School and Providence College in Rhode Island. I started working at a young age in my father’s machine shop and have never stopped. My career has given me some amazing opportunities over the way too many years. For 8 years I worked for a biotechnology in Boston on an amazing treatment for diabetes and obesity. From there I spent 5 wonderful years working at Mystic Aquarium for Dr. Robert Ballard which gave me incredible opportunities to learn and grow as a person. I moved on to run the IT for the Town of Granby, Connecticut making it the most technologically advanced town in the area. From there I moved into the trucking and fuel companies where I was able to utilize my technology skills to advance these companies beyond their competition. Somehow this career path allowed me to land at Home Gas in the Cayman Islands which my wife and I have come to love.


CAYMAN ISLANDS CHAMBER OF COMMERCE NOMINATIONS FOR 2021 COUNCIL Omari Corbin, Area Vice President – Retail and Country Head at RBC Royal Bank (Cayman) Limited Omari is a knowledgeable sales leader and banking professional with 15+ years’ experience throughout the Caribbean region, having held regional roles and market specific roles in Barbados, the Eastern Caribbean and the Cayman Islands. Omari is a passionate coach and mentor and is keen on creating an environment where banking professionals can excel and reach their full potential, providing a highly differentiated client experience to enhance client loyalty and deepen client relationships. Omari is skilled in Sales Coaching, Portfolio Management, Financial Risk Analysis, Business Relationship Management, Risk Management and Commercial Lending. Omari enjoys reading, traveling and sports in general, with basketball being his sport. Richard Harrison, CEO, Greentech Richard has been an active member of the community since 2005. A qualified accountant (FCA) he is also a member of the Cayman Islands Institute of Professional Accountants (CIIPA). During his time in Cayman Richard has been involved in numerous sectors including financial services, insurance, property, retail and broadcasting. More recently his professional time has been dedicated to the field of renewable energy – a sector he is both deeply passionate about and one he believes can be part of the continued future economic success of the country and has sat on the Cayman Island Renewable Energy Board (CREA) for the last five years. A demonstrable commitment to providing young Caymanians with both opportunity and a growth path Richard is optimistic that this can continue with the right ‘runways’ in place for both individuals and for small and entrepreneurial businesses. After hours and outside of his primary focus of his family he re-energizes regularly with endorphin rousing activities such as tennis, running, SUP and ocean swimming and I revitalise with my backpack and travel to places near and far.

Spanning 144 acres sea to sea from Seven Mile Beach to the North Sound, The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman unites the top names in every field to offer its guests one-of-akind experiences. The resort features 369 guestrooms and suites, La Prairie Spa, five dining venues including Blue by Eric Ripert, the only AAA Five Diamond Restaurant in the Caribbean; The Courts Tennis Center, Ambassadors of the Environment by Jean-Michel Cousteau, a family programme and The Ritz-Carlton Golf Club, a Greg Norman-designed nine-hole golf course. Mr. Langevin has greatly contributed to the islands’ community through his involvement in tourism associations and his continuous support to educational and social projects. Over the years, he has been an active member of the Cayman Islands Tourism Association (CITA); participated in the project charter for the School of Hospitality Studies; most recently served as a deputy chair in SEAC, among other committees and elected President of CITA in 2020. David E. Pellow, BSc. Phm., C.P.P., R.Ph., Pharmacist and Business Owner, Doctors Hospital, Mr. Pellow a graduate of the University of Toronto has owned and managed a group of private pharmacies both in Canada and the Cayman Islands for over 30 years. He was at one time the Administrator of Chrissie Tomlinson Memorial Hospital and has served as the Director of Finance at Doctors Hospital since it was purchased by the current ownership group almost five years ago. As a seasoned business professional, Mr. Pellow has analyzed the acquisition of existing practices in Canada and participated in funding, budgeting of the start-up of three pharmacies in Cayman and the share purchase of Doctors Hospital (March 2016). Mr. Pellow leads the hospitals’ Finance Team and is a member of the Senior Leadership (SLT). He is focused on the financial aspects of hospital operations, ensuring that processes are in place for proper control for payables, receivables, payroll, and purchasing (Operational and Capital Budget oversight and management). Mr. Pellow has won numerous awards in his field and is recognized across the Caribbean for his leadership in the Caribbean Association of Pharmacists. He has been this organizations’ Secretary/Treasurer, Executive Director and Partner Relations Manager. He also has been the President of the Cayman Pharmacists Association and Chairperson of the Cayman Islands Pharmacy Council for many years.
