During my study abroad program in London, I worked at a leading product and service innovation consultancy called PDD in their research and marketing departments. They trusted me to help them with their big-name customers and important projects. I did quality work and I was really proud of the final outcomes. I met amazing people from all over the world, learned how to think ‘outside of the box’ with a great internship and created memories that will last a lifetime. I definitely feel my internship abroad launched my career. It helped me get another marketing internship and then my position at Career and Student Employment Services (WMU), where I worked for over a year. The experience of interning in London was worth its weight in gold, because even though you build knowledge in college it’s not the same as what you learn actually working in a business. I also learned a lot about myself. I strongly recommend that every student study abroad!
